O_o is that an import or from a local supplier?

R3,299.95 almost as much as a new iPhone 4S contract pay in :O

Expect the Wi-Fi version to be about R500 less. Maybe they'll be a bundle deal soon enough! Or maybe the mobile networks might offer it at a good price with a data bundle...
 
That has to be import price. Vita isn't going to international markets until next year Feb. I think those that are being sold are probably the Japanese releases.
 
yeah, but its still hard to justify spending that much on a handheld console when you already own an XBOX and a PS3 :-( I guess i will just have to wait for the inevitable price drop, despite the fact that it will take about 6-12 months after release to happen
 
Thing is I won't buy it on release. I play RPG's on my handheld (I've got 8 Final Fantasy Games on my psp) So I'l buy it when there is something worth playing.
 
Okay its a little more than i expected, but then again... It does have more than what the PSP offered on launch... So maybe closer to feb we will see a small price reduction. But i really want one of this otherwise i am using some ebucks to buy it.
 
Ouch! That price is waay to high for my liking, especially with all the big games releasing now...
Looks like I'll have to wait a while before picking this up :(
 
yeah, i also been put off by that price, i would seriously rather just buy another xbox. and with the christmas bundles coming out there is no way the vita can compete. its now put itself up against ps3 and xbox 360 even though its a handheld. can see me people going for the 3ds now at R1500
