PS3 120gb for R1999 at IC ... is this legit?

This reminds me of when Game advertised a Nikon L100 for R1999. I was there at door opening only to find it was a "misprint". Apparently, South Africa's laws against false advertising aren't stringent enough, as the manager was like, "sorry, you can have it for R2999".

Make sure before you go to the effort. "certain stores only" makes me think it might be a store opening promo. where like the 1st 1 customer through the door gets it at that price. The rest pay the normal 4K plus. Incredible corruption...wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw Fat Bastard.
 
Last sale IC had like this, they were all refurbed units. I bought one, got home and it didn't work so ya just be aware.

That's actually perfect, all you do is the same as what I did last time when I got my PS3 for R2150. P&P Hyper was selling it for R2300 and we don't have a hyper here. So I printed out the ad, took it to game and asked for a price-beat.

So technically you can pick it up for R1830 from Game. And it won't be refurbished.
 
So....GAME isn't making empty then.......interesting....this is something I hope to turn to my advantage some time. <evil grin>

OMG!

You also queried that Nikon cam.

I got a bulldust mention that they were all sold out at Game.

So to avoid major lawsuits they just came out with that nonsense.

I should have insisted on a raincheck.

That Incredible Corruption deal sounds too good to be true....

It probably is......... (ATT:4 PS3's only written in fine print.)
 
Yip same thing happened to me, Makro had a pressure washer on special, went to game and they honored the price and beat it. They very good at that.
 
I actually phone IC about the PS3 and the sales person told me they've got one in stock that came from another branch. It is either a refurbed unit or a demo model. My guess is a refurbed unit. So I'll stay clear of this deal. AS for the game price beat, phoned game to find out whether they've got stock and unfortunately no game in gauteng has got stock. So that's a no go too. Sucks big time (but it was a cool idea though).
