The first and only game that ever gave me a fright - when u go down the first lift and across the bridge - when that dog jumped at me gave me my first cyber chill.
My favourite game is Unreal Tournament, a game I still play till this day. A brilliantly balanced game for its time with pretty good bot AI. Unfortunately all the sequels werent that great.
To choose one game as my favourite of all time is no easy task. There are so many which bring back fond memories. Here is a list of a few of those special gems off the top of my head:
Sopwith 2:
One of the first games I played on the PC. A glorious game where you pilot the legendary sopwith bi-plane against the enemy pilots. The goal was simply to bomb all the buildings on the map without getting shot-down. Once you bombed all the buildings you restart the level against faster planes and buildings that can also shoot you down. The control you had over your plane was simply majestic and the satisfaction of out-witting the enemy AI in a dog-fight is hard to beat. To top it off, the destructible terrain makes this an all-time favourite.
Lemmings
Who didn’t spend hours placing a blocker on either end of the lemming entrance, turning up the rate lemmings entered the level and then hitting the nuke button? I played this game on my primary school computers, and in my last year of primary school I set the goal of finishing all of the “Mayhem†levels.
Warcraft II
The first game I played multi-player and an instant classic. Blizzard’s RTS classic had all the hallmarks of an epic game. Amazing cut-scenes, addictive gameplay and huge replayability. It’s a huge toss-up between this and C&C1 for my all-time favourite RTS. Today WC2, edges it (I’ve got axe for you!).
Carmageddon
Twisted, edgy and exhilarating. Carmageddon is definitely my all-time fav driving game. The freedom to do what you want around the racetrack, and the myriad of ways to finish the race kept me coming back for more. Few other games have given me the sense of achievement I felt the first time I managed to finish a race by killing all the pedestrians.
Tomb Raider
The first game was completely different to anything I played before. The level of ambience created with so little music was astounding. I’m gonna let you finish, but the first-time you meet T-Rex ranks right up there with the greatest gaming moments of all time. I also may have had a crush on Lara at the time. I cannot count the hours I spent trying to find the highest points in the game and making Lara doing a swan-dive off them to see how long she would scream for.
My favourite game is the Original Mario Brothers on tv games last console i had.
Very nice Prize looking forward to trying out Rugby World Cup at the shops
