My favourite game of all time has to be WarCraft III.

The map editor was just pure awesome and it had managed to meld and RPG into an RTS game quite well. Plus the cinema tics of Reign of Chaos was just epic and quite well done. Plus it even provides a few nostalgic lulz when you start up an MP game on a stock map and have a quick pillage here and there with mates

I would have to say: Rockman 1 (Megaman for overseas noobs...)
I can still play it today, and still feel challenged and excited.
It was pure platform genius! Also it was only '8 bits' of awesome!
A truely amazing feat!
I can still see myself being blown away when I pushed the select button and discovered I could use the evil robot boss's powers too!
