"PS3 hardware limitations held back Gran Turismo 5"

I understand wanting to push the visuals, physics and all that as far a possible but this is starting to sound a little OCD.
 
Hardware doesn't only impact grafix, it also has a direct impact on gameplay. Obviously they hit the ceiling on hardware when trying to expand the gameplay. Would you have had to wait another 2 years if they didn't hit that ceiling? Highly unlikely because they had to bench the mechanic, unless it was obviously just not going to work within the hardware limitation from the start.
 
Geesh, Polyphony are being morons. I agree they ran back to the drawing board with their tails between their legs when Forza 3 was released. They had NOTHING on that game and had to make up some serious ground.

Now they're saying the console they've been developing on for years isn't "good enough"? LOL WTFOMSBBQ? Duh idiots, you can dream up anything you want to, but you still have (and have had all this time) the specs for the PS3 platform.

It sounds to me like they've become VERY cocky, so much so that they thought everyone would "sit back and wait" for Gran Turismo - and then came Forza 3 and blew them CLEAR out of the water.

It's funny because the same thing happened to DotA recently. Blizzard was being "high and mighty" - and then came Valve and delivered something to the fans without first asking people to kiss their feet and beg.

Gran Turismo 5 is awesome - FOR ME TO POOP ON!

Forza 3 blew Gran Turismo 5 out of the water? That's amazing! It beat a game that's not even out yet. Forza must be awesome ...

On a side note: You seem to have a lot of animosity towards games (maybe other things too) that you have never played. I'm sure a good psychologist/psychiatrist could help you with that.

Well my friend, how can Forza blow GT5 out of the water if there was no Playable GT5 yet. The demo was released a little later on, but was not even a dust particle of the full game.
Dont get me wrong, I love Forza, its nothing less than brilliant, but seriously dude, judge the game WHEN it comes out. NO ONE LIKES PRE-EJACULATION.

P.S. Its not the specs of the PS3 they have problems with, it's the disc space.

A quick google reveals its abotu $28.19 for 1 disk which can hold up to 50Gb... I cant imagine anything of current get requiring more than 2 disks.

For the record: I am not even gonna buy Gran Turismo 5 as I have no interest in it (or any other racing simulators) whatsoever. My comment had more to do with your constant bashing of games you have never played than with the game.
