Sony recently launched the latest beta for Home on PS3 and the response have been fantastic so far -for those who have been able to connect.

what you mean it free to connect to, home is just extremely bandwith intensive with all the updates. but its a fantastic online enviroment.

I may be incorrect but as I understand it Sony is inviting people to test the beta version. Apparently their is going to be large scale beta testing in April before the official release

Well so far PS3 Home is free to play, and anyone can sign up afaik.

No local mirror its still beta, but afaik it is already in mass testing and you all you do is sign up from the network menu.

Honestly it's more of a gimmick to me. You already have a neat chat interface, with voice / video. It's more for those who prefer to talk to random strangers (imo). Not my scene..

Xbox got Facebook. PS3 must get MXIT and still free on Cell C... LOL
