PS3 live connect issues...

Hi friends,

So my mate sent me this email last week:

Im tryna get my ps3 online but i cant access the playstation network, i've got internet (google etc) working but when trying to access the network it always times out, checked the settings - everything's fine. It just says "proxy server: do not use and Nat type: failed..."

any thoughts?

So - any of you PS3 guru's have any idea what may cause the issue? I'll try get him to create an account on here to answer any troubleshooting queries you guys might have, but for now please assume that he has done everything correctly and/or incorrectly. So all probable causes are welcome to be highlighted.

Have you tryed plunging in the network cable and check on the router if the proper port are opened.

Hmmm I think the best thing to do is ask the guys on the ps3za forum i'm sure someone there will be able to help.
