I don't know, if i owned a playstation, i would be pretty pissed.. It's like having an apple product and the app store being down for a month or 2, these are features you buy the particular product expecting. On another note, the amount of money that sony must be losing.. shame..
Oh noes the PSN is down what am I going to DO!!??
Honestly, it's no different from having your Telkom lines stolen and replaced next month, just deal with it, go outside perhaps? It got me back into the Gym at least. I don't use the PSN for much I must admit, the odd multiplayer game and annoying updates everytime I dust off an old game and want to play.
My PS3 hasn't even been switched on at all since the breach.
What you fail to understand is that it has nothing to do with not being able to play games.
It has to do with my personal details; Stolen; Due to their negligence.
They knew about this security hole 5 years ago and ACTIVELY DECIDED to do NOTHING.
I will not be supporting Sony in anything, ever again.
So to them I say:
If you live according to the Hacker Manifesto, and believe in Freedom of information, then how about giving us your personal informationThis is a one-sided and self-righteous statement.
You guys have removed my ability to play games online for a month, and cost a MASSIVE international company a MASSIVE amount of income, which make you criminals. I hope you get your ani enlarged in prison!
I used the Playstation Network when I got the PS3, and when I buy new games (updates etc). So, it being down has not affected me until I bought Mortal Kombat about 3 weeks ago....
I have not been able to activate online play, so even if the PSN is back online, I still cannot play online.
But I am still not upset with Sony, I know what a pain in the ass script kiddies and hackers can be when they target you... The only people to blame here or to be pissed off at, must be Anonymous.

Mortal Kombat’s Multiplayer is Free to All While PlayStation Store Remains Offline
Until PlayStation Store returns, Warner Bros. has suspended the "Kombat Pass," the one-use code (included free in retail copies) that enables online play for Mortal Kombat. That means anyone with a copy of the game, used or new, can play online for free. However, when PlayStation Store comes online, "users will be able to enter the Kombat Pass code included with Mortal Kombat or purchase a Kombat Pass for $9.99."
your so called "identity" gets compromised on a regular basis when databases of personal information are traded between companies. Ever wonder how random people phone you up and offer you their "services" (*cough sales*).
