Anyone know how i could connect my PS3 to display on an old Fujitsu Siemens Scenicview A17-3 LCD monitor?
Would i need to buy a cable of some sort?

If it has DVI then you can get an HDMI to DVI converter, if it's VGA only then you're out of luck.
Edit: Looks like VGA only so it's a no go I'm afraid. I had the same issue so I bought myself an LCD with an HDMI input and it was well worth the investment.

Yeah, I looked for options like that, but in the end it was better to just buy a new screen.
I wonder if we'll see the 24" Playstation monitor in SA. The 3D on it is awesome- supports two players! Also curious if it'll also connect to my XBOX360 or Sony propriety...

Maybe but who would bring it in - SKE or Sony? It also won't be as cheap as it is in America
