Sony decided to add a Singstar App to the XMB for you to see and use. You can remove it. It's there. Right beneath the Game Disc and the Downloaded games.

It's an installer that Sony had the audacity to put there and you can't do anything about it. Sony have done a lot of things over the years, but this is just plain RUDE!

Anybody else feel the same about this, or am I alone?

Actually quite clever by Sony. They know their loyal gamers will eventually get over it while the casual gamers will love it which will hopefully lead to more console sales for them.
 
I agree that it's very clever. But the fact that it's so in your face is cause for concern. What's next, forcing dynamic advertising themes on us?
 
I'm just waiting for the singstar integration into the new GOW, "sing C# continuously to rip out cyclops eye"
 
LOL, I can't believe people are complaining about this. Sure, I'm not a fan of Singstar and I don't plan to ever install it on my system, but the icon doesn't bother me in the slightest. There are quite a few icons on the XMB for shit I never use(d) actually, so one more isn't going to make a difference.
 
I saw the installer there...not quite sure what to make of it yet. Hey, free stuff.

That is something that will probably happen sooner or later. Advertising is huge money.
 
Yeah doesn't really bother me either, they will probably take it out on the next update anyway :)

As long as they keep out of the games you actually paid for...

That's a very good start!

All three uncharted games are superb! I recently also finished Resistance 3, a very underrated game. Was playing it with move and it actually works quite well.
 
Congrats on the new PS3 panthis. Have a look at PSN+ membership. I bought myself a year membership recently, and I'm well happy with what I got for the price. I've already gotten through RDR and Bulletstorm, and I think I'll hit inFamous 2 next.

Reviving old threads is not something that goes by unnoticed here...Don't necro old threads. I'm pretty sure the competition states that as a rule.

I am, however, not a complete tool and will assume that you didn't know about that.
 
I don't mind,so when the fam want to have a "games" night,BAM there's singstar....enjoy,
or maybe you can practice for Idols,lol.
