PS3/XBOX 360/PC dillema

I'm struggling to decide whether I should buy a PS3 or not?
I own a XBOX 360 (to play gears of war and xbox live) and a nice gaming rig (which I use to lan) but the reason why I want to buy a PS3 is to play God Of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5 and blu-ray ofcourse.
Any advice?
Get one. I also have an Xbox but there are some real gems on PS3. Uncharted, God of War, Demon's Souls all awesome games. You wont regret it.

Thanks for the reply. I feel the same but then there's the option of upgrading my monitor to a nice samsung 27"... Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

Thanks for this thread. I've been sitting with the same thing on my mind. I have a good enough gaming rig (to play SC2 and most of the new stuff that comes out) but lately I've just been keen to get a PS3 for some good old fashion casual gaming. No serious competition...just vegging on the couch playing some God of War.
I'm moving out of residence at the end of next year (finishing my degree) and I guess a PS3 is just a good investment. especially considering that media center functionality. didnt realise you could stream movies from comp to TV via PS3. thats pretty sweet tbh. Plus the PS3 shelf life will probably be pretty long. A comp upgrade aint gona last me more than 2 years.

Now the tricky part, where to buy my ps3? The cheapest I saw was for R1999 120Gb ps3 at incredible corruption, but i think it's a refurbed unit so I'll rather not take the risk. Next in line was on BT games' sit they've got a 160GB ps3 for R2999 is this a good buy or not? Do you guys know of any other places that sell them for a good price?

Never bought a ps3 due to the games being a bit too expensive and not having a HD tv.
Maybe look at Game, Macro ect. they some times have epic specails on ps3 bundels and whatnot. was at Macro once and they had one of those 10 available right now specails for R1999 with 2 games but I got there to late. "Dam you broken trolley wheel!"

Hmmm....well, despite the obvious lure cos of the lower price I would personally not go for anything that is refurbed.
So basically anywhere that you can get the best price for a new PS3 Slim will be ok I guess.
Bought mine @ BT.
I also still see a lot of shops are still selling the old gloss black Phat versions. Stay Away!!!!!
