Does anyone know if the ps4 controller will work on a ps3 console?
Since I see that its a bluetooth device just wondering if it would

It might work in the same way as a ps3 controller only (don't know), but I don't see it being possible for the new features to work on the old system.

Well that's primarily what I was hoping for i.e. to use normal controller features. Not too concerned about the added new features.
So wonder if it work in the case I'm hoping it would?

The PS4 controller will work on some PS3 games but not all of them and it will most probably not use the touch pad functionality on PS3 games.

I have my reservations on whether the 500gig drive will be enough as most games will come in at just under the 40gig mark. You will have to upgrade your drive at launch to preempt that usage over time instead of upgrading in 6 month's time and having to go through the schlep of backing up and reformatting.

I hear that... Can always throw another 500gb drive in my pile of "extra storage" next to my eSata dock...
