Heya...

Just wondering if anyone else is having or had this issue;

The triggers (L2 & R2) are making an insane squeaking noise when pressed. At first it started with just the L2 but now the R2 is doing the same. It has happened on both my controllers. My mates controller is doing the same. Is this a design fault?

There are a couple of tutorials to fix it all over the net.

Basically open it up, blow out some dust that accumulated on the triggers and close it again. Mine squeak as well but I wear headphones so I does not bother me at all.

Beotek mine did the same just spray some q20 oil on the triggers works instantly no more squeeking and no need to open the controller.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback!

What headset do you use?
Been wondering if I should get one, wondering if it would be that advantageous. In a game like TLoU I would imagine as much.

Probably my favorite feature of the DS4's is the headphone jack on the controller. No need to spend hundreds/thousands on a wireless PS4 compatible headset.

I got the Sony Pulse a while back when it was on special, and must say, one of my better buys. You get a headset app as well for these, where you can upload pre-configured profiles for certain games to your headset. Two of the games I play currently have profiles in this app, Second Son and TLOU. I think a decent headset is worth it, but cheaper options like Crableg mentioned can do the job as well.

+1
I use a pair of Sennheiser MX470, they are quite good not as full ranged as my Corsair headset I use on my PC but they are quite close. I am thinking of getting the Turtle Beach PLA set but I see they have a USB + RCA connection and I am using a PC screen so I am limited to 3.5mm.
The P11's have a USB and 3.5mm connection so they should work.

Yeah I have the Turtle Beach Z22's and its awesome, great headset and its not overly expensive, got mine from Takealot for about R1000. Can connect with USB & the 3.5mm jack, also has an option from the inline amp to connect straight to a phone / ipod without the USB.

The Pulse is great, I have one as well. Only problem is that they start to crack (just below those silver circles on the headset) after a while. This doesn't happen to every set apparently, but has happened to a lot people. Myself included. If it wasn't afraid of it happening again, I would go buy another pair as the sound quality is pretty awesome. I see a lot guys have managed to fix it with proxy, but I haven't tried that yet. Mine looks like it's cracked almost all the way through on both sides. :( I still use them though, will even use duct tape to keep them together if necessary.
