If that rumor is indeed correct, why only 5000.. it's very few. 50000 should of been a proper number to import to SA in the first place.

I doubt they had any control of the number, I'm sure they took everything Sony offered. If sony keeps the stock low the keep the price on the peak for longer, just hold out till the next shipment.
