PS4 - Game Questions

Yes! Finally got around to playing some Shadow of Mordor, it's so smooth and awesome to play, feels way more 'loose' than AC. I always felt stiff in the AC games when it came to movement and combat and have tried my utmost best to play black flag but I could not get into it.

Considering Evil with in but I still have to get to Destiny. :/ hopefully by mid November when my exams are over I will have more time.

i started playing it this weekend, at first I was bored but gave it time. Now I'm addicted to it.

PLayed 9 hours straight yesterday only to find myself on like 8.5% progress :wtf: so this will take a few days to complete! So worthit.

Also looking at getting shadow of Mordor, so if any of you guys are looking to sell/trade after you are done with it, let me know :)

Finally got the Plat for TLOU this weekend as well. Sweet bliss when it popped after completing the last online match.

Wow dude! Impressive. How many hours did that take you?

I just got my copy of Mordor back today (from someone in the office) and now another mate at work is borrowing it. I have barely even played it myself, maybe 2 hours.

For the plat, single player took me about 26 hours in total. I started straight with Survivor and it took about 14 hours. Survivor plus then took me about 9 hours (was skipping cut scenes). Cleanup took me another three hours as some of the conversations didn't register so I didn't know which ones I missed. Multiplayer was also about 26 hours in total for both campaigns, about 168 games in total. You can skip a game or two, but the penalty is your clan suffering. And certain scenarios carry a 100% risk to the clan so you can't skip those. You don't need to do grounded mode for the plat luckily, though maybe I will try it at some later stage.

And no rush, busy with Dust which should keep me busy for a few days. Got a few other games on my wishlist as well if anyone on here is looking at trading/selling.

* Sleeping Dogs
* Shadow of Mordor
* Alien Isolation
* Diablo III ROS

Just wanted to check, do you not register the game with Blizzard like the PC version? Coz with the PC version there is no trading after your finished with a game...

Not as far as I know. Seen a few copies for sale on the SAgamer marketplace and no one mentioned something like that. Also, don't need to be connected to the net to play it on console.

I sold my PS3 copy a while back and there wasn't any issues for the new owner. Would think the PS4 version should work the same.

Ya i suppose its different with a console game, although it technically shouldn't be... Blizzard do lock you in pretty hard on PC...

To be honest, Diablo III felt way better to play for me on console than it did on PC. No lag/rubberbanding what so ever. And controls wise it just made so much sense on the controller it felt like second nature. Haven't tried the online co-op yet on console so can't comment on how that works, but I tend to play my console games solo.

Iv got to say iv been extremely tempted to get the Console version... Im just not so sure after spending about a grand on the PC version, and investing HOURS into the game, that would count for nothing, that im so keen on spending another R700 on the PS4 version... Nice of them to bundle the original and expansion on console though...

I'm tempted myself. Thinking about getting that or Alien Isolation from Kalahari. Use the Gift100 code for R100 off :)

Breakthrough for Driveclub as "Majority" of Players Can Now Connect
String of patches and updates help restore the game's online network; Release date for PS Plus Edition still unclear.

Evolution Studios, the studio ultimately responsible for the prolonged connection problems affecting Driveclub, has said that the "majority" of the game's players will now be able to connect online.

Driveclub's launch two weeks ago was marred by severe connection problems due to errors within the game's netcode. Many players were unable to play the game online, while the free PS Plus edition has been delayed.

Representatives for Evolution have since been proactive in engaging with the community, frequently updating its Facebook fan page and releasing several patches to help restore connections.

On Saturday, the studio suggested it had overcome one major hurdle, writing: "We're still improving server performance to get all of you enjoying full online connectivity together, but the majority of Driveclub players should now be able to connect and play online."

It added: "We will continue to keep you informed as we make progress and we know we've said this before but we mean it: We know how frustrating it is when you can't get connected and we feel it too. We are working flat out to get online sign-in, multiplayer racing and leaderboards running smoothly for everyone, all of the time."

Prior to the release of Driveclub, Evolution and Sony had agreed to release a free abridged version of the game to PS Plus subscribers. However, due to the online connection problems, coupled with the likelihood that a surge of new players would make matters worse, Sony decided to postpone the PS Plus edition.

It is still unclear whether the PS Plus edition will be released.

Evolution Studios hasn't ruled out compensating those affected by the problems.

Maybe Glordit or Wlad may know.

I know you used to get new add-on triggers for the DS3, but can the same be said about the DS4 controllers?

Some options that I read about. Want to get myself some new analogue stick covers. The first batch of DS4 controllers have this tendency for the left analogue stick to wear out.

Some more thumb grips : http://www.kontrolfreek.com/ {dunno the costs here, but guys on SAGamer club together to bring in a few of these at a time. Keep in mind the SAPO striking}

As for the triggers, quite sure I saw some at Zaps a while ago, but can't recall if they were for DS3 or 4.

The covers are nice, they do raise the height of the stick ever so slightly.

You can also get replacement analoge sticks, sadly you have to import them via amazon though. You get them in an array of colours. Its quite easy to switch them out there are many tutorials on youtube on how to do it.

At work at the moment, so can't get the link. Will update when I get home.

Those work on ps4 and can be shipped to SA.

I've got to say this guy makes some very valid points and this explains quite a bit as to the generic review scores that Driveclub has been given.

All truth in his video, you have to be really new to the internet to trust, IGN, Polygon and Gamespot. The best place to get personal input in any game is Reddit and Neogaf. I no longer trust the reviews that get published anymore, even .HTX Africa scores almost every game in their magazine a 7 most probably because they use a median aggregate to calculate a final score.
