PS4: General Questions

10GB Online storage is useful to me. My PS4 always has notifications of saved data failing to upload due to a lack of storage space. Should be a thing of the past now.
 
The Nathan Drake Collection is looking very promising and inspiring.

Anyone getting this?

I'm seriously considering it, but I haven't made my mind up yet. If it had multiplayer I would have gotten it without thinking twice.

Jip, already paid for :) had a spare R100 off voucher so used that which helps.

Not on release. At the moment I'm to busy with MGS V :).

Some PlayStation 4 owners were surprised to turn on their consoles today and find Destiny: The Taken King sitting alongside their other games on the system's dashboard, even if they hadn't purchased the game. But that's a feature, not a bug — and there's a way to prevent that from happening in the future.

Destiny: The Taken King is being pushed to PS4 owners this week through the system's automatic download settings. An icon for the game will show up on the system's home screen, which prompts players to purchase and download the game from the PlayStation Store.

Do I have to create a new account if I want to be on the US PSN store?
I bought DLC content on my SA PSN account for a game I bought from US, and they refuse to install :( due to region differences
 
Hey guys, does anyone know when the price decrease will hit SA? Looking to buy a PS4 but would love to save R500. I see that BT Games have the 500GB unit for R5000, think the normal price was R5500?

Yes BT Games has cut the price already. You can get the PS4 500GB Console + God of War 3 Remastered + PlayStation TV for R4999. Offer ends the 5th.
 
Wow that sounds quite good. Not really too fussed about either the PS TV or GOW 3. Would love to have my PS in time for Fallout 4...
Only thing I'm worried about is the 500GB and that this is the older version. Don't really know if there is such a big difference between the two and it would probably still be a while before the newer version hits our shores.

There are a whole bunch of us that have the "older version" and we have all had little to zero issues, I wouldn't be to worried about it if i was you... What i might recommend tho is looking for the 1tb PS4... You will want to upgrade the hard drive at some stage, especially with the way digital downloads are going...
 
I agree not really worried about the difference between the two versions, will keep my eyes open for the 1GB version. I see that Dion Wired and Takealot both have it listed for R6k and saying that it was R6.5k would this then include the price drop? I don't know what the price of the PS4 was before, so need a little help here.

I think you could probably get a really good deal on the 1TB console, especially leading up to christmas, it might be a good idea to hang on a bit, i know you said you wanted it for fallout 4 though... But the 6k price tag sounds about right for the 1TB, although that was the price Makro had them for in August...
