OK I have some n00b PS4 questions:

- My PS4 is at home, online, in that sleep-ish mode thing. How can I log in to start downloads on it from my office?

- My PSN profile when I log in, does not show any of the stuff I did yesterday. According to it, I played PS3 3 weeks ago (which is when last I really used my PS3). My PS4 seems to have not updated all my shite from last night's gaming.

- Is there any other way I can check from my office, how far my downloads and updates are, etc?

I think it should auto download, but you should be able to manage this from the PlayStation App as well

I think you must have shut down or hibernated it too quickly from exiting a game and thus didn't have chance to upload anything. I'm not sure on the frequency of this though.

Not that I'm aware of.

correct, though I think you'd have to pair it first. So rather do the initial set up at home. I don't know what phone you have but you can also control your PS4 from it then, don't know if that feature is Sony specific. Everything is Sony in my house, so I can't speak for all features across other devices.

no the PS4 app is pretty much universal. It's just remote play that is sony specific. also make sure your system is setup to allow all downloads while in Rest Mode

you can queue/start a download via the PS store site but that's about it
 
Damn, was hoping it's a bit more intelligent, ie, that you could actually "get into" the PS interface for some functions.

Anyhoo, I bought and installed Witcher 3, then started playing before the patch downloaded. Played 4 hours, then when I tried to continue yesterday, I saw my save was missing. Apparently it does not work after the patch.... :(
 
Ok, so I decided that my XB360 has now done it's service, so I bit the bullet and bought a PS4 yesterday.
So now I am looking for some friendo's on the PSN network.
