PSN Downloads

Is there a way to save ongoing downloads from PSN? I have the problem that my Internet cuts out resulting in huge downloads just cancelling and starting again

isnt this done by default?
I recall mine downloading, then I turn the console off and turn back on and it continues from where it was....

download a program called PS3Prox and then use that

Then use something like Orbit download manager to manage your downloads

The process is tricky but once you get it right it just gets easier to use

The PS3 really needs the ability to download in the background or even when the console is off. Having to sit and watch something download is tedious.

HATE that about it. Feel sorry for those with a slow connection too. Its even more painful.

You guys always look for "excuses" to moan.....just start the download and change the channel or something.......

Its not their fault we have the USELESS telkom running your internet

I'm pretty sure it saves your progress and starts from latest point... or at least it does on my console...

Most downloads follow this principal on the PSN network... I remember before uncapped, we used international to intialise the download and pause them all switch to local and complete the downloads to save money. Now it doesnt matter much.

Yeah, downloads from the Playstation Store start and stop easily and can run in background while playing a game. Never ran into an error or something requiring me to restart a download before. You can't do that with patches, though.
