PSN downtime costing Capcom millions, possibly

Ouch. Indeed.

I've focused on the effect Anon's actions have had on the consumers in my earlier, without pausing to think about the developers behind the scenes. And of course, yes, they get hurt as well. Badly in some cases.

So while Anon is claiming to represent gamers, in effect they're doing more to hurt the industry now. Large companies like Capcom may be able to absorb the loss - but what are the smaller developers going to do? Anon's actions are probably going to end up costing jobs in the long run - whether or not they are directly involved, their actions are now creating a knock-on effect that will be affecting players completely seperate from their initial target.

Great going Anon - it's nice to see you thought this all through properly.

sign, this is starting to affect more than just Sony now... If all the developers keep loosing money over this crisis then two things may happen, the PS3 wont get developed on (long shot) or games are going to cost more to make up for the decreased profits (more likely) of the online mutliplayers and online content not be purchased.
