PSP2 details leaked, gets tentative release date

i think the HD screen a big up, means sony looking into bring hd graphics to a handheld i am stil not sold on touch based games but if the screen were touch maybe the navigation system would be interesting.
 
I'm not saying it must have touch based games, just it would add more functionality, like what the Go was suppost to be.
 
i just read on fudzilla, that the developers not keen on the PSP2, due to the high piracy rate on the current gen PSP handheld. But i think if they sort out the secuirty issues and the piracy then developers will have a good expierence with the next gen version.
 
I can tell you now that with the PSP2 going completely digital, Piracy is going to bring Sony and the Game dev companies to it's knees very very quickly :rolleyes:
 
But piracy has been getting harder for each PSP release? the PSP slim needs a special battery to keep it hacked and the one after that is even harder
 
It needs to be a phone. Simple. Why would people pay over the odds for PSP when they can get great games on an iPhone/Android device and have phone functions. Just like Sony integrated their Walkman brand into mobile phones, I think they they need to launch a mobile phone specifically for gaming. Piracy is not the issue - it's the much larger user base of iPhone/Android and Nintedo devices. Sony are failing epically with this.

+1 on the touchscreen though...
