OK another question

I am buy a new rig, I am not having much luck on finding some where that I can buy a PC on HP ( monthly instalements ) Incredable conection apparently have a awesome gaming machine for R20000.00 wich is fine by me I was just wondering if any one else might know where else I could buy on HP ( I dont really trust incredable conection )

I wouldnt suggest buying a pc on HP. by the time you paid it off the pc willl have aged to such a point that your going to need to upgrade again. i would rather save and buy it cash. also with buying on HP your paying way more for the pc than what its worth.

the 20k machine at incredible is probably the the Alienware M17x and i would not suggest buying that laptop locally. if your set on getting a machine like that get someone to bring one back from for example the states or so as they are a lot cheaper there.

Well you could try buying online, now i know that you thinking but i bought allot of hardware (RAM, graphics cards, games) online and i was 100% satisfied...but to answer your question

My friend got a cool gaming PC at Evetech and got delivered a few days later.
Try it out

Hope this helps

Shop punting much? Evetech is insanely expensive. Yeah their top end rigs are awesome, but they actually charge you to overclock them...LOL Seriously. That's not buying smart...It works out way cheaper to buy parts and then build the machine yourself or get someone to do it for you.

If you can buy a m17x for 20k locally, take it, that's a lot less than they retail for :)
In regards to Purchasing a pc like that, why not rather look at one of the rental companies then, I have a friend that runs a rental business, they rent their stuff for 36 month periods, and I've seen pricing on some really good machines for a lot less than you would expect
I'm sure there are a number of companies around that do that type of thing ?

Its a financial decision, why get a personal loan and use capital you are repaying along with interest to buy something that you will replace in 36 months, rent it ?

Yeah Joker i agree, building a machine is better but no everybody has the know how or time to research parts. oh and i did mention"friend" the evetech thing was a recommendation, lets not get to catty ;)

So Sick boy i'd say maybe get something entry to Mid-range and upgrade when you have the cash
just my opinion.

I'm not sure which companies do rentals in SA, but I know Teljoy used to do some PC's etc, phone around
The company my friend owns does them as well, they are called Telnet, but shop around and see who gives you the best monthly price on something like that

See even in a worse case scenario, if you are renting the machine, you can always BUY your own GFX Card etc if they can't give you exactly what you want, then in 36 Months you either return the machine excluding the parts you've added, or you pay what is frequently called an ownership amount (Normally one month extra rental) to take ownership of the hardware

WOW the decition is only becoming harder and harder, I think the best might be to go the rought you suggested Angelo69

WTF, I wouldn't buy a PC on credit ever. Getting a personal loan is just the worst idea for just a PC.

Try save for a couple of months, or get something very low end that shouldn't break the bank (something around R2-3k) and upgrade when possible. To get a R20k PC on credit is ridiculous, the interest would be over 25% for sure.

I know you want a gaming rig...but how about a console or something for gaming instead? Just in the meantmie until you have enough cash?

lol like i said the decision rests with you Sick. Ask around more and get as much info as you need before making your purchase. Glad to see you consider staying the PC gamer route.

"Is PC gaming dead?" can kiss my ass
