Questions before I buy new rig... What's a heatsink?

It would be yes, but there is a better one

M4N68T-M ASUS AMD Socket AM3, Nvidia GeForce 7025, 2000MT/s, 2xDual DDR3 1800(O.C), 1xPCI-x16, On Board VGA, 1xPCIx1, 2xPCI, 1xATA133, 4xSATA(Raid 0,1,5), Gbe Lan, 8ch-Sound HD, Max 10xUSB, microATX R 510 excl. R 581 incl.

And it is the same price?

Ah you say it's better? And it's in Randburg, I can go pick it up myself.

How do I buy from these guys by the way? There's no add to cart or anything. I'll drop them an email.

I see it only takes DDR3 ram? Hope it means it's better/the same as DDR2.

It is yes, the one you listed is an M2N68 which was EOL almost a year and a half ago. Whereas the other one is an M4 series and it is newer too. It is in Randburg. Their website is www.pcint.co.za

I just ordered it, with DDR3-1600 ram. Going to pick it up next Friday by their offices. Thanks for help guys

Cheers for help guys! Just checking some cooling fans out, seeing as the tower I ordered has three 120mm slots. Might be going with these as R60 bucks each is within budget. Even considering getting 3, and replacing the default rear fan that I'm getting with the case with one.

Yeah working out pretty decent man (other than me running a bit short of original budget). Hopefully I'll sell the items listed in my sig so I can get this stuff.

Just cleaned inside of my old computer a bit before I flog it.

I couldn't get the graphics card out. It's stuck in there, any ideas? Gforce 8600GTS.

The thing is bloody stuck in the second PCI slot hole (you know there's a long chip that goes into the slot, then little chip at the end that will notavok come out). If I pull any more I'm gonna rip the motherboard in two.

Over there, argh need to get it out!

Jislak! you got a whole vaclume cleaners contence in there! is the little clip giving you problems?

The pci-e slot should have a little plastic bit at the end that you need to push down to release it. Feel around behind the back of where you just highlighted.

in all my born days I have NEVER seen that much dust in a pc case.

I always had the shop do it for me, but I recently moved to PTA so learning how to do all this myself :p

Also going to try and assemble my new rig on my own (with helpful tutorial vids on youtube). Sybaritic is charging R200, bit much if you can do it yourself.

Thanks might need it. Had my first experience with it yesterday taking the sound card out to clean :p. Only thing that concerns me are the horror stories I've heard of frying your motherboard with static electricity. So I've been told to touch a piece of metal every now and then to discharge (Sommer used a pot from the kitchen).

I've never fried a board due to static electricity but I have done a few due to incorrectly mounting the metal onto the backplate.
