Def not mine...I would do a lot more with the 30k.
Seriously mate...you can do better than that.

Intel Core I7 2700K @ 4.5 Ghz
Corsair H100 LCS
ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB
Sapphire 7970 3GB x2 Crossfire
Patriot PYRO SataIII 120GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda XT 3TB 7200 64Mb Cache HDD
Corsair HX850 850W PSU
Coolermaster Storm Trooper
ASUS 12x Blu-Ray reader combo drive

Could get away with a lot less, but that is one fucking strong build.
Could drop the H100 and the blue ray drive and upgrade you to a 256GB SSD

There you go...A proper build.

Looks like you won't need Joker's help then. It's a shame though, I think his built is the best here. And like He said he could even work out a better build. You should really let him help you.

If possible I would only get a 15-20k PC and then I would put the rest away for a new PC in 2 - 3 years. The difference between a 20k and a 30k PC won't last you more than 2 years, it will probably only last for 6 months.

Actually Joker pmed me , his advice has been great.
The motherboard , pc case and the memory are from his recommendations.
Im still open to suggestions .

As for the physical building of the pc , I will be doing that ,
ive been a long time pc gamer , just the last few years ive lost track of hardware available and performance builds.

I made a bad sarcastic joke. In any case, I thought as much.

this is pc i would of bought :p

Prices form landmark pc

3930k R5500
asus x79 board 3.3k
G.Skill RipJaws Z 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 1.2k
ocz vertex 3 120gb 1.9k, think cheaper at other shops
Nzxt switch 810 R1.6k at evetech, depend on what you like :P
XFX Core Edition HD 7950 3GB AMD Radeon HD7950 GPU crossfire 10.2k
Corsair HX1050 1050W Dual Eps12V with Modular Cable Management PSU 2.2k
Corsair h100 1.2k

then you have 4k left of headies, hardrives etc.

and this system will play bf3 :P

I'd never get myself to build a 30k PC even if I had the money...
btw is there a timelimit in which you must use the money?

I have to agree. I'd spent at most R10 000. And use the rest on other things.

If money really wasn't a concern (because I won the lottery or something) I actually would buy a top end pc. Don't understand why anybody wouldn't.

I think that the insurance policy will pay out the price of the replacement PC, so anything spent under R30k gets wasted. Could be a different kind of policy though
