R389,000 spent on a Dota 2 courier

I don't know hey. Why are u so focused on a courier when you should be watching your match -_-. lol

I can't even hate though. if a dude wants a hype courier then fine but at the same time, some dude could literally just model one and add it to the game and have it for free .

I can understand that you would want to buy online in-game items and in some cases paying a premium for it's rarity but my goodness, this is insane. Really. What value does it really have other than bragging rights? What a waste when they possibly discontinue the game in a few years? Maybe the buyer is a super rich person to whom R300K is pocket money.
 
R400k? What's the big deal? There's a restaurant in PTA that can sell you a bottle of brandy for R500k.

If you watch PokerStars and FullTilt pros you see them tossing millions around.

For that lucky 1% R400k is chump change for a good experience or some social recognition.

I'm actually happy for the transaction, because there's a chance the seller will invest or spend the money and therefor contribute positively to the economy.

Not sure who called him cool for doing it. Most people here that were not straight up bashing him for his choice to buy this item were simply saying "If he has the money let him do it. What's the big deal?"
