Radeon R9270x vs 7870 XT

Hi guys.

What's the difference between the R9270x and the 7870 XT(Assuming both are Powercolor) ? Is it worth $30 (~R300). Suggesting for someone overseas.

Thanks for the reply. I was suggesting a build for someone on Tom's hardware, and I already referred him elsewhere to look for GPU advice.

But out of interest sake, what advantages does the R9270x hold over a normal HD 7870?

ok speaking as someone who has one i was actually looking at the 7870 and then a week before i decided to buy one the re-branding of AMD cards appeared and out came the R9 270X O.C.

It's a bit faster than the normal 7870 and at the price you pay for it it's worth getting the 270 i have had mine for a week now and i am very happy with the buy(Bought mine from wootware for R2499)

Clock speed and slightly lower power usage. That's it. Its a pure rebranded HD7870, which is why the HD7870 XT is the better buy.

Once overclocked, it can easily rival a HD7970 at resolutions lower than 1920 x 1200.
