rAge 2011 announced, who's going?

I would like to go, but there's no way I'm going to Joburg just for that. They should move it around the country. Lamers. They could at least do a Joburg and a Cape Town show!
 
Not interested. Been to three and each and every expo has disappointed. Sorry but to me an expo needs to showcase something unseen/heard of before and rage has never been able to offer this. Hence I am not interested till they prove me wrong...
 
Its our clan's yearly meet up, so competition or not, will be there. Its not the expo that is the attraction. Its seeing the guys you play online with, for one weekend of the year and having a solid party :)

Selling games probably pays for the event. Whilst there are probably too many stalls flogging games, I always browse just on the off chance I might find a decent specials.
 
I don't see the point really. Why would I go to a LAN if I can connect with a million Xbox LIVE users? Besides if someone noob tubed me and we are in the same room... I will be sleeping in jail.
 
Yeah, never really been impressed by rAge. So I'll go if nothing better is happening that weekend, type thing.
 
I have never been to rAge.. been to a couple Frag Lans here in Durban but I can see a lot of mixed feelings about it! would like to go even if it is just once :-D
 
I wish I could go but alas I live in Cape Town and don't go up to JHB. If they had it at Cape Town I would go.
About 13 years ago they had a big computer expo in Cape Town that I went to, can never remember the name of it though but it was awesome. Saw Monster Truck Madness 2 for the first time there and I remember thinking - wow those graphics are awesome.

I'm a huge online gamer, but I do love the vibe at LAN's. It feels far more competitive, there's conversation and laughs to be had etc.
 
I might actually be going through this year again. I wasn't uber impressed at last year's one - but it's a nice break for me

It's right before my finals which makes it my last chance to relax and it gets me out of Cape Town for a few days. Doesn't cost me too much either if I can bunk with someone I know for the weekend.

Triple win.
 
I always seem to miss it. Every year. I think I'm going to have to try make it at least once

It will be exactly the same as last year which was the same as the year before etc etc. Thibk I'll just give it a skip once again.
 
I will definitely be there. walked around for HOURS last year and bought tons of stuff. It is not that expensive when you skip the LAN, so if it is disappointing, then so be it. Good day out, in my opinion.
 
Must tell you if you are involved in the NGL stuff then you wont want to miss out. Im not saying anything but there might be some nice announcements from different places coming in the next couple of weeks that would change the maybes to hell yes.
 
I certainly hope to be there. This year I really want to be part of the lan. Since I've managed to get my hands on a pc that I don't mind being seen in public with, I somehow manage to miss it every time :)
 
Think I need to get a comp running in the general area again. When I ran the DoD comp it was great. Actual structured comp with some prizes ect. During the teams buys they played other games and shared stuff but there was some purpose to Rage for the non extreme gamer there
