rAge 2011 event roundup

rAge expo was cool but the LAN was a failure... only 3 out 30 ADSL lines where working on friday meaning no one except the NGL league guy's could play blops the rest of us was stuck with CSS and CoD4, Saturday when the lines where finally up we where only able to play blops for about 10-15min before loosing connection and you have to restart steam again so in my books the network was crappy...
 
One of Derrick's cameras was stolen during rAge :mad:

So he lost a lot of pictures, but we should still have some booth babes. We'll be checking what's left today and have a gallery up.

Staunch the network was awesome it was telkoma fault that the whole lans internet performance wasnt as promised.

Seems as if every year the network gets worse and worse, judging by feeback ...... one would think that they would sort that as a priority.

Look i can agree it wasnt perfect but theres not alot we can do with regards to telkom. The 30 odd 10mb lines that was available wasnt runnimg at close to what they should have.

fridge the problem is that on Thursday evening network cables was still being ran and testing should've started on thuesday and that the ADSL lines are working... my suggestion is to maybe look into a wireless broadband connection like www.amobia.co.za.

but congrats to winning the NGL finals!!
 
Yeah that is vc and telkoms stuff to sort. All i know is on thursday night we were happy with the net and lan. But then friday morning everything was a stuff up.
