Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight - 2.5/10

...Because I've got some friends (twin) who got it as a birthday gift and they can't play it due to the immaculate 'persistent internet' requirement. I feel bad for giving it as a gift to them :(

Paper Mario for N64 (not kidding)

80% because I was expecting a SMRPG format game, but ended up only being able to control 2 characters. Mario taking all the hits is kind of silly too. The rest of the game is classic though.

Finished several games recently.

AVP - 6/10 starts off good, but starts to get really repetitive around the halfway mark.
Army of Two: 40th Day - 7/10 alot of improvements from the first, but the story is quite empty
Mass Effect 2 - 9.5/10 miss a couple things from the 1st, but not too much
Bad Company 2 - 9.5/10 haven't finished the story yet, because i can't quit playing the MP. even more awesome than the first in that regard.

ME2 : 9/10. I'd really like a little more in the way of equipment variety, and the ability to sell excess minerals & gear, but otherwise a fantastic game.
Bioshock 2 : 8+/10 (tentative). I'm only about 2-3 hours in so far, but I'm really enjoying it so far, a great successor to the first installment. I'm interested to hear how the protagonist manages to survive the opening cut scene for so long before the story starts though......

Prince of Persia (4) PC

Man, Phoenix isn't going to be too happy with this review. :-)

Prince of Persia has its faults but overall the game was great. The best part was the powerful ending. The game doesn't end in a cutscene and I don't want to spoil it. The ending is really thought provoking though and I found it to be quite epic.

As for the game itself. Well I actually preferred the PoP trilogy but this game is really a new franchise and in many ways a completely different type of game. The climbing and running and getting from one place to another is a very fluent exercise. Oh and one can't die. This makes the game a lot easier but believe me there are still challenging bits.

Well there are proper reviews out there, so I won't ramble on for too long. Phoenix I know you got frustrated with the button mashing during some of the fighting and on my side I really didn't like some of the quick time events, but the game gets better the further one gets and the ending is truly brilliant. So yes, it's worthwhile finishing.

Score: 8.8

:)
I don't have a problem with your review, Solitude.
I believe that to a certain extent, game reviews are subjective [and that the rest has to do with a title technical and artistic merits]
I'll see if I can borrow it again, or better yet, find a second hand Xbox 360 copy of the game. [I found the mashing in Dante's Inferno
easier]

Good. :) I really think you'll enjoy the last parts of the game. For some reason the button mashing became easier the further I got. I never got used to the quick time events though and I failed them every time. Luckily it's not a game stopping problem.
