Rate the Last Game You Played

Enslaved Odesy to the west:

Graphics - 7/10
Gameplay - 6/10
Story - 8/10

Pretty awesome game - has some pretty crappy issues though that spoil it a bit. The controlling system is a bit annoying, not the smoothest I have ever felt.

Graphics are good, although there are noticeable bugs through out the game. People standing in mid air, sometimes very choppy frame rates. However the environments are very pretty.

Dialog and cut scenes are really amazing, keeps the game fresh.

The game does get a little monotonous, but overall I enjoyed it.

Kameo - XBox 360

Not my cup of tea. I originally bought it for my wife since I thought it might be something that she would enjoy. Little did I know that the controls are bad and it makes the game frustrating. So I played it and finished it and I can't see why IGN would give it a score of 84.

Verdict: 5.0

Limbo - XBox 360

Short but sweet. I'd love to play more games with the same atmosphere. Another bonus is that the difficulty level is perfect. It gets difficult at the end but never too difficult and you can persevere until you find a way to continue. Definitely worth the play.

Verdict: 8.2

Magicka - 9/10

PC/Steam

Your are a mage off to save the world.

Only minor bugs now. Most fun you can have coop or on your own. Especially fun to try out different combos and combining beams with your friends for more power. Also hilarious when a spell backfires or you cross the wrong type of beams.

I think the spell system in magicka is awesome and should be used in more games.

Demon's Souls (PS3)

9.5/10

One of the Best, most rewarding games I've ever played and not to mention an almost indefinite replay value it will be a very long time until you can finally put it to bed completely. It is not for everyone though, unless you have alot of patience I do not recommend it.

Other than the occasional clipping issue the game is well polished and looks very good. Enemy AI is designed to be exploited and game play is well balanced. Co-op needs a little tweaking but Im sure that will be addressed in Dark Souls.

If your looking for a hardcore Dark Fantasy RPG that will beat you senseless and leave you begging, obsessively, for more then check out Demon's Souls.

Samorost 2 - PC

It could have been epic if it had a long emotional story and if it was quite a bit longer. I've played free flash games that were way longer than this. Otherwise it was good and it was basically free with the pay what you want indie bundle. It makes me want to play Machinarium.

Verdict: 5.9

Afro Samurai - Xbox 360

Amagaaaaad! D:

Music - 10/10
Gameplay - 10/10
Storyline - 8/10
Graphic art - 10/10

This game caught me by surprise. I'm not a fan of game adaptations, but this feels more like you're taking part in a movie than randomly playing a game.

The fight scenes flow so dramatically streamlined that you feel you're watching a movie where you get to choose which way the action is going. You go into focus mode where it's like watching an Anime scene where there's way too much blood per square meter than your average tarrentino movie. You cut guys in half / cut off their feet (and earn the achievement "hip hop" :D) / cut off the top of their skulls / pretty much anything you can think of.

The background music sets the mood for every single fight scene and gets your blood pumping and ready to release the kraken!

Samuel L. Jackson's over-the-top profanity gives this game that KICK ASS feel, just knowing you're the baddest mofo in town.

What's more ... this game is retailing for R149. If you don't get it I'm going to kick you in the panty!

Red Dead Redemption

After trading my original copy of RDR, having gotten bored about 90% into it, I saw it on special at CNA for R233 and decided to pick it up again to finally finished it and having done so have to stick to my earlier rating of 8 - 8.5/10.

Brilliant Story but the game play I found lacking. Yes the word was huge but it often felt empty with not enough to do to keep you occupied beyond the trivial mini-games.

I also still encountered bugs even after 2 patches. From frame rate issues to rouge character models standing still while another, exact copy, wonders around to completely missing character models. It is just a little weird seeing a stick of dynamite floating towards a game.

God of War 3

Simply the most epic and brutal game I've ever played. They succeeded in besting God of War 2 in every conceivable way. I can't wait to go through this a second time. A thrilling conclusion to Kratos' story.

9.5/10

Dead Space 2

Finally finished my first play through of Dead Space 2 and I have to say one of the better games Ive played recently. Devs took note of what was missing in the original and built on that. While the majority of the game was well balanced I found the last 2 chapters unbalanced on survivalist difficulty. Ending was also a little iffy, a bit underwhelming.

I'll replay it in a few month and maybe try Zealot or Hardcore mode.

Give it an 8.5/10

Mass Effect 2

What an EPIC game! I just loved every minute of it :D. Behind Star Wars, this is the best Sci-Fi story ever!

Score 9/10
I got the PS3 version so if it weren't for the bug plaguing it it would've been a 10/10

Mass Effect 2 (PC)

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

One of the best games I have ever played and I can't wait to continue the story in Mass Effect 3.

Verdict: 9.5

Enslaved (PS3)

Surpassed My Expectation.
A bit on the short side but game play is decent, hurt a bit by the control scheme which is like Assassin's Creed for dummies.
Cinematics & Voice acting is some of the best ive seen with a good well developed plot.

A solid 8/10

Dead Space 2 (8.5/10)

The only problem I have with DS2 is the MP. It feels like it's been included just for the sake of it.

Bulletstorm (PC)

Overall I'd give it a 8/10, though fun factor I'd give a 9/10. :)

Well worth it if you can get it running on the PC.

Killzone 3 (92)

The story was rather disappointing and the ending was just plain shit, but playing through the game is AWESOME! Definitely giving this one another go on a harder difficulty setting. The visuals are out of this world and the sound isn't half bad either. Can't really comment on the MP yet as I haven't played much yet, but judging by my time with the open beta I am going to be playing this for a long time to come, if I don't have any issues with it.

Drakensang the river of time 85%

Story 88%
Graphics 75%: Just a note on this the gfx itself is very good but the reason I am voting this due is due to the horrible camera. Maybe this falls under gameplay, not sure but it really makes the game less enjoyable, worse camera since nwn2.
Sound 85%
Gameplay 90%

Overall 85%. a Really nice rpg to keep you busy while you wait for da2 and witcher 2. Its also a nice old school rpg, not action rpg at all. Uses the german dark eye rule set.
