Dead space 2

Loved this game. So much better on pc than the first one. The set pieces were stunning and the sound was fantastic.
Also loved the Event horizing homage in it. A must if you like sci-fi survival horror games.

Also I finished this on survival. Has anyone finished it on hardcore?

Bulletstorm (Xbox) 8/10

A decent idea but by building an entire game around a single mechanic it fails to grab hold of the player for longer than the length of the main campaign. Plot fails completely as does the lame sequel set up last act. Gameplay is well balanced and entertaining even if just for a little while. Lack of longevity or much replay ability out side of echo mode.

While bulletstorm was a good romp the masses have already moved on, salivating out the "next big thing"....

My last game was Braid

I play a lot of Indie games because i don't have much time to play. It was beautiful, but short, very short. I'm glad i've got is on Steam sale, and not for 10$. The music, and art is very detailed and "arty", the story is deep, i recommend it. (i know it's old)

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
82/100

The best stuff:
All the good stuff from AC2 is here...
It looks great,
There's great variety in the side quests giving it good 'width',
The games is fun and very enjoyable
Plus there's nice additions...
Combat system is slightly expanded,
More things to do with the guild missions and challenges.

Why it didn't score better:
1. A bit thin on the plot side.
2. It's just too much of the same from AC2. Some might think this is not a bad thing, but that would be true only if the plot had advanced significantly, which it doesn't.
3. Money is still too easy to come by, making it a bit of a procession rather than a challenge.
4. End is a bit of a "WTF" moment, but not in a good way like AC2

Overall, it's a very good game which will give you hours of good fun, but not exactly a classic that you'll keep in your "never sell or give away" cabinet

dead space 2

one seriously good horror fps. Visecal has taken what worked and done it even better in dead space 2. would i buy it again ? yes sure, this is what horror fps should be. i do hope ID takes note.

can't wait for dead space III :)

I have played taken 3 now and will rate Taken 3 game as 7 out of 10 , because of beautiful and classic graphics and atmosphere in the game .

Killzone 3
7.5/10
The campaign is too short 4(oops I meant to type 6) and a half hours isnt acceptable! And some elements were missing like a boss fight, the end fight in the game doesnt really count, in my books. I didnt get a chance to play multiplayer, so its only based on single player. A bit dissappointing as I was really looking forward to a great campaign.

Real Myst

I remember back in the day when Myst came out. It was epic and it was hard. Well that's how I remember it. Real Myst is Myst in 3d with an extra Age. The game didn't age very well though but it was worth the play to finally finish it. Even though the ending was horrible. Wow that's a bad ending. Still, I look forward to playing Riven.

Verdict: 6.1

Dragon age 2

Story 9
Sound and Gfx 9
Gameplay and depth 7: Maybe this is unfair since it has more depth then most other games but since its part of the dragon age series its only fair to compare it to dao and it falls flat against it.

So overall 85%. Bear in mind I always place more emphasis on story.

Dawn of war 1 40k

can't believe i missed out on this one, but it's finished now and i'll continue with the dawn of war saga :). after dune II i must say this is only space rts (from that time, excluding recent rts like supreme commander) that captivated me on so many levels.

dawn certainly is fun and had me wanting to play the next mission just to see what is happening next. even now after the last battle i must stay my hand not to just continue on with winter assault :D

well worth it, though i would suggest getting the daw collection :).

in end at least 80/100 imho, not latest graphics, but still worth a play though to get into that lore, story and so on...

Bulletstorm on X360.

8.5/10

Really enjoying this game, I wasn't expecting much at all - so I was pleasantly surprised.
In short, it's just a really fun game.

I'm about 20 hrs in to DAO (first time playing it).
Judging by your review, this is starting to become a (sad) trend for BioWare.
Cos there's no way KoToR2TSL was anywhere as good as the original KoToR, and (people will shoot me down for this big time but, in my opinion) there's no way that ME2 was anywhere as good as ME1.
No doubt ... in each of the above-mentioned BioWare sequels, the combat mechanics were slightly tweaked, the graphics were improved, the gameplay was moved forward... on the surface of it, they should all be better than their predecessors.
And yet they just aren't. And you've nailed it when you said
Bear in mind I always place more emphasis on story.
So do I.
Anyway, I still have many many hours of DAO to play through (...it's very very interesting so far).
And I will almost certainly play DA2 anyway.
I just hope that BioWare will blow us all away with ME3 and make me look stupid for typing this :)

Dragon Age II

Story: 8/10

Not as good as the first one but still good nonetheless. I found the scope to be very small and not as EPIC as a game of BioWare's standards needs to be :(. Also it felt like the main quests didn't have any meat to them, I found the side quests to much more entertaining.

Graphics: 8/10

They improved greatly over DA:O! So I found the graphics to much better :)!

Combat: 8/10

Once again I liked the new combat system and found it to have improved greatly over DA:O, this time the Mage actually feels powerful! So yeah, great stuff!

Overall: 8/10

Black Ops Singleplayer - 50%

Overall, it feels just like MW2, it's just not CoD anymore. It does gain an extra 25 points over MW2 for above average level design. Haven't had intense combat like that in a very long time. Story is kinda meh, dunno what else to say there. It was nice to see what happened to Reznov and Dimitri though.

KillZone 3 great story only problem is it lags a bit and leaves you at yet again another cliffhanger ok two sequels great but dam it man a part four now your just killing it......oh and it could have been longer I guess they want to focus more on the online play which I can understand but every now and then I like to play some campaign mode....... oh another plus though it has split screen Co-op mode which I haven't seen in a long time in any game so I would have to give it a 7.5 out of 10 (not counting online play)
