Limbo - Awesome experience. The art direction is pretty cool and it kept me playing until I completed it. A bit short though, but perfect in all other ways.

Hard Reset

8/10

Lekker Shooter, simple plot, no big thinker, just for running around, kill and get killed

Heavy Rain ... {spoiler}Ethan Mars, a successful architect's life is turned upside down when his eldest son dies despite his best attempts to save him from a car accident. 2 years later, he finds himself in constant misery and depression, but still responsible for his 2nd son, Shawn, who gets kidnapped by the Origami killer, a serial killer who drowns his victims.{/spoiler}

On first impression it seems like a game driven by detail instead of actual game play. You feel like you're watching a movie and you're just along for the ride to choose in which direction it should go.

Though this may be true - I found myself emotionally attached to the protagonist's plight - and after a while you're not even sure whether you are a protagonist at all. You're just trying to find a way out of the mess that you're in.

The game really stuck to me and I have to give the dev's full marks for getting that part right. Then only once you watch the behind-the-scenes clips, do you realise just how much work went into this game. The absolute detail to movement, expressions and most of all...capturing the emotion of a setting or scene with the musical score - that was recorded at Abbey Road recording studios in London with a full orchestra.

The only down side to this game was my unfamiliarity with the PS3 controller, which left me stumbling now and then during fast-pace fight scenes where you have to navigate your way around obstacles etc with very little time - but that's my own doing.

The re-playability on this game is also very good - and they make you aware of it in the closing credits, where they play snippets of different scenes in the game - and I found myself thinking that I didn't come across half of those scenes.

So for gameplay: 7.5/10 (more of a movie setting, but playing with ARi makes up for it!)
Re-playability: 9/10 (In tune with Mass Effect 1 & 2 etc.)
Sound/Music: 10/10
Visuals: 9.5/10
Fun Factor: 9/10

Final score: 9/10

This is one of the PS3 exclusives that you definitely should get your hands on. The game is morbidly depressing, but excellent and captivating at the same time. I loved the fact that I had no idea who the serial killer was until right at the end.

Deus Ex Human Revolution

Amazing game and tons of fun, I even liked the boss battles. World was stitched together real tight and it is worth looking around just to see what you can come up with.

I finally got my hands on Assassins's Creed 2. But before I play that, I wanted to get back into things by starting with the original again. For some reason, my experience of the game is a lot different this time. I am thoroughly enjoying it, great to get back into the open world. And the game ages very well.

My score: 7/10.

Portal 2 (Xbox 360)
9/10
Brilliant game! Really enjoyed it, not only is it challenging but the story is so immersive that it kept me hooked right til the end! I was surprized at how much more I enjoyed it than Portal 1 as it was much longer and satisfying. The co-op is also a very nice aspect of the game, wouldn't skip this title.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood:
I only started playing the series recently and enjoyed it quite a bit. Decided to get the latest available and got to say this is one of the best titles I have ever played. That's saying something since the first game I got my hands on was about 20 years ago and there have been plenty since then.

The Graveyard
We are all going to die. It's something that we can't evade (well except if some of you are immortal beings or maybe there's been some new discovery that's currently being trialled and um well back on topic). We are going to die. It's inevitable. It's also a rather depressing thought. The Graveyard makes one think about death and about those around you. It made me phone my grandmother and ask her how she's doing. The game serves it's purpose. You play an old lady and you walk from one side of a graveyard to the other side and sit on a bench. Then a guy starts singing about lots of people who died.

Which is all good and well. I can see what the game is trying to achieve. However, they could have done so much more. Currently it's basically just an interactive video and to call it a game is an insult to games.

As an experimental music video I give it a rating of: 9.1
As a game it's unratable since it really can't be seen as one.

Currently working my way through Gears of War 3's campaign on my lonesome. So far I am enjoying it, gameplay is samey but seriously what could you expect. Visually I love the lighting and funny enough the character's skin tones. Weird like that.
