Indeed:D, TBH I loved the game so much that it warranted a proper review.

hehe, yeah changed it back in the spirit of finally getting to play the game... soon as it's done downloading that is

Assassin's Creed III

Awesome game, great combat and stunning graphics! It was a let down though :(. Even though Ubi expanded Desmond's story it was still lack-luster at best, and the ending for Desmond... Well I won't spoil it for anyone but it deserved so much more, especially considering it was the ending to the AC trilogy. The game had too many bugs, something that no previous AC game (Except for AC1, maybe, I can't remember) struggled with. The OST is amazing though!

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

WOW, I don't quite know how to explain this game... First off, the game is absolutely gorgeous!! It was one of the best art directions I've seen in any game, seriously, it's like playing a game while high on LSD . It's a heavy hack-'n-slash like God of War, but the combat is indeed solid. The story can be extremely confusing if you don't Google the texts that the game is based on, but once you do it makes for an interesting (If ultimately empty) story. But wow, the art is just amazing, it's seriously the main attraction of the game. One minute you'll be platforming 2D style, to fighting a huge Nephilim in a hell like world to crusing on a highway at break-neck speed while fending of robots! It seriously blew my mind!

Dishonored
Wonderfully made game, very few bugs that I've found.
Great concepts.
A little lacking in explanation of the games kill system (What constitutes a kill, what doesn't)
I'd give it a solid 8.5

Hitman Absolution

So I have no idea how to rate this game. Usually I'm a big fan of games with a good story and overall this is a good game (worth the money of buying it new) and although the story isn't bad, it does limit the game somewhat. I'm glad I played this game, but I hope the next game will go back to the mission-based style of game like Blood Money with proper objectives, weapon customisation, the works.

I do have a couple of issues with the game though that can be quite irritating.
- Some issues with the AI logic that I had hoped would be better
- Checkpoint saves... It only remembers the targets that you've killed. Anyone else killed or items picked up is reset.
- Starting weapons... the guy basically walks through a door from the one level to the next and then the weapons that were picked up are gone and you start with the wire and pistols
- Quicktime events
- Score system... but that's just me. In the sniper challenge, you got points for taking out bodyguards but here you lose points if you take out anyone else but the main target... and when I play an assassin, I do tend to like leaving a trail of bodies (well hidden of course)

But still, I'd probably rate this game around 7 or 8 out of 10... somewhere around there. If I've never played Blood Money and didn't have any expectations, perhaps the score would have been higher.

From what I understand though, in the Contracts mode, you can buy different weapons, etc. so perhaps I'd give that a go rather than replaying the game later on.

After 52 Hours I finally finished Borderlands 2 co-op. Much better ending that the original and very tempting to restart on True Vault Hunter Difficulty and do it all again.

Best Autumn release thus far.

Prototype 2
It's a good game... It took me a little while to get into it (cause I was used to some of the things in the 1st game), but at the end of the day, I'd say it's better than Prototype 1.

Assassin's Creed 3: Xbox 360 - 8/10

After finally finding the time to play AC III I must say that I was quite impressed with the whole new 'feel' to the game. Brand new setting, new characters, new time zone. It made me more intrigued and interested in playing the game after a lengthy Ezio Trilogy. The game starts off slowly and I personally didn't mind it as it gave me time to learn more about the characters in the game. The new and simplified combat system takes some time and practice to get used to but it is a much welcomed change. The tree-climbing is a great addition and is integrated quite well into the game. The game is packed with stuff to do besides the main missions and the areas that you visit are large and expanse.

Connor's story is gripping and gets you right into what's happening in his world. Whereas Desmond's story shows development but lacks an ending that the character deserves. Overall I enjoyed AC III but I think that more work could have been given regarding the endings of both characters.

Mass Effect 3, but this time with all the DLC.
The Reaper DLC was actually quite interesting... giving some background on the reaper origins. The Omega DLC wasn't bad either.

I'll probably do one more playthrough of the entire series, but with specific bad choices to see if there will be any effect in ME3.

AC3 - The beginning was excellent, but later on the game gets very kak. Probably had too much of AC recently (finished all the others) . But really it's basically the same stuff over and over again , with some improvements. What really pissed me off is how useless hunting is and the whole setting/environment , and of course the huge amount of bugs (later fixed) . The positives is the new combat system which provides more challenge, new weapons , excellent character voicing/design and the visuals. And also Connor.

Another thing that was rather weird is the "replacement" of the hidden blades with the tomahawk. IMO the game shifts the focus away from the hidden blades and onto the tomahawk. But the tomahawk is still pretty awesome.

7/10

Hitman : Absolution - Very good game, challenging, amazing visuals , realistic detection system, awesome firefights (when you get to one) and the whole setting feels really dark, which is good. THe only thing I didnt like is the gameplay for some reason.

8.5/10

XCOM : Enemy Unknown - Best strategy game this year. Awesome combination of strategy + combat . Everything about it is just great .

10/10

Far Cry 3 - Certainly my game of the year (torn between dishonored and FC3). The combat is action packed (feels good when shooting the guns), amazing story, awesome protagonist and other characters (Especially Vaas, hes my favourite), amazing visuals , hunting, freedom to do whatever you want ,and overall fun factor . The only downside is the length of the SP.

I did it. The impossible.

After 145 hours, I finally finished Skyrim. I'll do the Dawnguard DLC another time.
I'll probably never be able to attempt a game of this size again as it simply takes too long. They should rather make it smaller and give it a proper ending. With all the choices in the game, those who want more TES can simply play it again. Game had a bunch of bugs (luckily no CTDs like with Fallout), but most could be overcome by using console commands. I suppose though, the number of bugs in relation to the size of the game, it isn't that bad (not for Bethesda anyway).

WHAT?????? I'm only in about 40 hours and I thought I was almost done

Ghost recon future soldier

The game looks great. Didn't have any framerate drops. The gamplay is solid. The stealth route is rewarding. And the cloak is fun to use :). The levels are generally well designed. The AI can be poor. But only on a few occasions. The MP is fun a bit lag here and there and its a mission joining a game. But if you manage it you're in for a real treat. Oh and the best part is the sync shots. Makes me feel like a badass everytime I pull one of :D

Star Wars: The Old Republic (Free play)
Not very far in (Level 8 Jedi Knight, Level 5 Imperial Agent).
The storyline for both these characters is engaging and the gameplay is plenty fun. A must for fans of Star Wars.
Let me know if you recognise where they got the "heal" animations from . :-D
I rate it 85%.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Great turn-based game! You don't even have to be a fan to enjoy this one. Easy entry into the genre.
I like the way the base is now shown.
Rate: 85%

Mass Effect 3

Story 8.5/10
Characters (helping you throughout missions, though retarded at times) 7/10
Gameplay 8.5/10
Weapons and weapon mods 8/10
Classes 8.5/10
Voice acting 9.5/10

Mass Effect 3 is a brilliant game. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. Character customisation is good (not Saints Row good, but, good in its own right). Story line was fine, and well written in my honest opinion. Gameplay was as what you would come to expect of an RPG (fun, interesting and enjoyable). Weapons behaved well, and corresponds to what the weapon's specifications claim. Weapon mods are also nice, and work well. Though, some mods make no sense, and as a result, I never bothered using them. Squad mates are effective in battle and it's interesting to hear the different dialogues, depending on whom you take along with you on your mission(s). Control scheme is fine, no real problems. However...! I do have a very big problem with [SPACE BAR] being the 'AWESOME" button... Pretty much the only button you need in the game for pretty much EVERYTHING!

Voice acting in Mass Effect 3 is really well done. I only ever play as Female Shepard. Reason for this is; as a voice actor/actress, Jennifer Hale does a damn good job! She makes you feel as though you are a real commander. Very strong and real voice acting made Mass Effect 3 that much better of a game.

Dialogue options in my opinion seemed very limited. There'll be a chance here and there to select different dialogue options, but for the most part, you're restricted to either top choice or bottom choice, Paragon or Renegade respectively.

Multiplayer is also tons of fun. Lots of character customisation. Many more kinds of characters to choose from (not only playing as human). Unique skills abilities making combat that much more enjoyable, interesting and fun to play. Being able to buy certain packs from a store to upgrade or temporarily increase your arsenal by adding weapon mods etc.

The ending for me was fine, perfect even. It built up the story good, and didn't make it feel like too great of a mission to get anything done. Many have complained that the ending was horrible and some were very upset about it. If I had to play through the entire 30+ hours of the game, just to get to the end an not be satisfied, I would've hated myself for even trying to play the game in the first place.

Overall
... Mass Effect 3 is a brilliant game that can be enjoyed by anyone. It's fun, interesting and should keep you glued to your screen for hours and hours.

Graphics 5/10

While most of the levels are pretty bleak it has a distinct look to it.

Longevity 6/10

I went through the first 15 test chambers ( or levels) in a matter of one and a half hours. From there on it took a bit longer. But the length of the game is very short. The challenge's are very hard to complete and should provide you with a few more hours. Then there are the advanced chambers which from what I can see are HARD! Very very hard! It should give you about 6 hours in total.

Gameplay 8/10

The gameplay is solid. And some of the puzzles are really hard. its a bit buggy as later on objects fall through the floor. And there is this odd bug that spawn's cubes everywhere reducing your FPS to 2-3 because of all the physics etc.

Sound. 7/10

it doesn't really have a soundtrack so to say but the female voice guiding you through the levels sound quite weird. But once you get used to it you actually grow fond of it. And at the end of the game I actually missed her.

Story 4/10

Uhm..... no REAL story whatsoever. Well the basic story is. You play as a Female test subject who tries to escape aperture laboratories. That's it.

All in all I did get it free so I can't complain but I would have loved to see more effort in the story and actual length of the game.

6.5/10

Super Meat Boy 8/10 ... Insanely hard :)
Fez 7/10 ... Really cool concept
Braid 6/10 ... Havent played a lot but dont see the apeal
Bit.Trip Runner 7.5/10 ... Really fun and unforgiving :)
Blops2: SP 5/10 MP 8.5/10 Zombies 8/10
Snapshot 7/10 ... cool concept, havent got too far yet

Braid 6/10 ... Havent played a lot but dont see the apeal

The greatest thing about Braid is the ending. It makes the game for me. If you like artistic things and emotional endings that make you think then it's definitely worth playing to the end. :)
