I was just thinking it would be nice to find out a bit about our fellow gamers and maybe we'll find out we have some new things in common outside of gaming! (ie. Occupation, Town, other hobbies etc)

I'm a 2nd year Med student at Stellenbosch University (based at Tygerberg Hospital). From PE originally. I like adventurous outdoor activities and sports such as tennis, surfing, soccer etc. which I just play socially now. Hoping to be a specialist one day (maybe psychiatry, internal medicine, obs & gynae). Im currently single at the moment-came out of a pretty serious relationship recently so just happy to enjoy some me-time (and many more games :D) again!

Hope to learn a bit more about everyone :)

I'm 21 currently working at an audit firm as an audit clerk. Almost done with my 2nd year Bcompt Accounting through Unisa.
Absolutely dig outdoor activities i.e. gym, rugby, golf, fishing & soon MTB.
Used to play rugby for my provincial team, but just playing for fun now!
 
23 here. Studied graphics designing half a life time ago. Currently employed as a QA manager. Fun activities include:
Dirt biking, oh how I love dirt biking!
Hiking, and camping.
Socializing.
organizing pool parties, every single hot weekend.
traveling the world, my next planned trip is a 2 year long trip around the World, starting in UK and ending in Southern America.

Do Datacenter type work; servers, firewalls, remote helpdesk stuff.

I'm 31 and a senior software developer. Despite my nick, I'm happily married. I used to party a lot but these days I'm a bit of a hermit and I tend to prefer my solitude.
I did some game development back in the day, nothing big though. Lately I've been working on a game for Windows Phone 7. Not even sure if I'll ever release it since it's just a hobby and I'm doing it more to learn than to actually get something out there.
Lately I've been obssessed with chess and I'm hoping to become good at it. Will enter some tournaments next year and see how it goes.

Wow! That sounds incredible! Must earn pretty well as a graphic designer to be able to finance that :P Or is it going to be a working world tour? I'm also looking to explore the world-using all my savings to finance a 14 day Contiki European tour next year, the first of many travels hopefully, once I'm earning the big bucks as a Dr!

And Fabio included, Im glad to see we have some fellow outdoor lovers. Mountain biking is something I've always wanted to take up properly!

Since I started studying at Stellies and having dated an Afrikaans meisie van die platteland, my liver soon became accustomed to excess amounts of KWV...good times!

Really cool to hear that you developing a game Solitude, think thats a dream many of us gamers have/had-awesome that you fulfilling it! I also am slowly getting back into chess again. Need to put in a solid few games to get back my skill for it though!
 
26. Have a degree in language practice, but I work in retail. Activities include getting stoned and playing games as well as reading, playing guitar and annoying friends and family.

I also bake awesome cakes occasionally.

I film and edit all sorts everyday.
I surf alot. its the only sport I give a rats about.
I play guitar, bass and drums but I'm losing my touch. just no time to make a noise anymore. sad face.
I am married to an amazing woman who gives me no shit. seriously. none.

26, electronic engineer. Trying at the same time to get my own business up and running well.

Married to a fellow gamer chick, just like me (the gaming part). Otherwise I surf (honestly guys at the coast....try it, seriously!) a lot - but still suck! Also just joined an indie dev team doing game development - which is super interesting for me so far. Play highly distorted guitar only! - ok, mostly, if I can help it.

Personality wise, if not surfing, I'm quite content just chilling at home with my wife gaming ALL day. I'm not really the clubbing type - although I do really enjoy dingy bars with pool tables that I can punish a few quarts in.

Was in real Estate since the day I left school. Studied a bunch of crap lol.

Currently a senior financial advisor for OM
Starting my own online gaming rig shop next year.

Did I mention I also had Mac and cheese last night..I am sure I did xD lol
 
Cool to see there quite a few surfers here! My Dad is also an avid surfer and gamer :D Seems to be a trend of sorts?

Work from home (self-employed) as a graphics designer and ICT-Learnership consultant.

I don't ever leave home unless there is no other choice.
My health is rapidly failing and I would probably be lucky to see 40 at all.

My hobby is medication and doctor's visits.

I'm borderline sociopathic and have fought my way through severe anger problems since age 15.

I am married to the greatest woman to ever walk this planet. She is my heartbeat, and without her I would not be alive today.


Slightly offtopic: I absolutely HATE mac&cheese...
