Reason not to buy games from EA

Reading what they have fked up makes me so mad.

They won America's worst company award a couple of times. Unfortunately I will still buy from them. Like Dragon Age Inquisition is something I must still play.

so in other words EA is the Apple of the gaming world

If EA put half as much thought and effort into their products as Apple does, I think we'd all be a lot better off. People may not like Apple and the way in which they operate, but there's no denying they care about their end products. For example, the flowers and jellyfish one can use as Apple Watch faces? The longest one took 285 hours to shoot, with over 24 000 shots. That's a lot of effort put into something most companies would simply brush aside.

Yeah Solitude me too. I am appalled by their business ethics, and the way in which they are profit driven over anything else. I know that companies that doesn't make any money can't continue making games, but seriously, doing so at the cost of gamers is just bad PR. That's why they are always voted the worst company in America.

And still, when Star Wars comes out, I'll through all my money at them, because I must have it.

Apple only does what Apple does to get people to part with their money and to protect their investment into said technology. Yes, they put a lot of thought and effort into their products, but that does not affect the net result. Exploiting workers, insane demands on suppliers and employees, etc...the list goes on.

EA really kinda does the same thing, release something that will sell (irrespective if it's good, bad or totally gimped). The fact is that people still buy their products and use their services. As long as they are getting people to part with their money they will continue to do as they please.

I think that's the difference between the two. In my opinion, EA does the bare minimum, whereas Apple still puts a lot of effort into "fluff" features simply because they want to.

For me the difference is that I absolutely refuse to use any Apple products, I'm a bit more forgiving when it comes to EA because of Need for Speed, Dead Space & Mass Effect primarily.

I'm surprised there's no mention there of EA hiring people to "protest" against their own Dante's Inferno release, using it to create hype for the game...

I'm with Lydon here, if EA only paid half the ammount of attention to their products as to what Apple does I would actually buy their games. They the jerk without the lure.

I would give what for a remastered Syndicate or even Wing Commander, or even a proper C&C game.... but sadly we know that will never happen.

The best way to beat EA is to support the devs that simply makes better games outside of EA , case in point Cities:Skylines , that is what SimCity 4 should've have been, and i think as long as Cities does well, EA will be forced to release games that are actually good without corporate BS .

EA will never again be able to release a SimCity game with all the BS attached to it while Cities:Skylines are out there and doing well.

Some people are starting to wake up and not just buy the game because its battlefield.

What i find more interesting about those stats are how many players are playing the new BF on console (on the PS4 specifically) and a serious lack of PC players , in contrast BF4 is clearly big on PC . Methinks PCs are not handling the game that well, or PC gamers are playing GTAV now ;)
