Fried Bully Beef Relish.

Take a tin of bully beef and mash it up untill it's like mince, and chuck in a frying pan for a minute, for a chopped up onion and than add a tin of tomato and onion relish untill it's all cooked.

Drop that onto a braai'd steak or chop and start drooling.

Baie maklike 123 pannekoek

1 eier
2 koppies meel
3 koppies melk
So bietjie olie

Siedaar !!!

Milk Suckers

Since shitty summer is nearly upon us, try this out before your body melts:

200ml Milk
1/2 teaspoon MOIR'S Vanilla Essence
2-3 tablespoons sugar

Mix it all together (heat the milk first if you don't fancy a lot of stirring), pour the resulting goodness into an ice tray and freeze (it will produce about 14 moderately sized cubes). If you have a snazzy fridge, push the 'Quick Freeze' button. Wait until they are completely frozen through and suck away!

You can also use a cube or two of this in you next glass of Coke; interesting taste.

Awesome Yoghurt Potatoes

Here’s one for all the people who can’t cook (which, imo is utter nonsense – if you can read, you can cook)
OH! RECIPE

Ingredients:

Potatoes (as much as you like)
Bacon bits
Onions finely chopped
Ina Paarman’s potato spice
Plain yoghurt
Olive oil
Cheddar Cheese
Butter

Method:
1. Sautee the onions in a little bit of olive oil till it just starts browning and add the bacon bits – keep doing that till it is thoroughly cooked (I prefer it crispy)
2. Mix the yoghurt with an ample amount of potato spice
3. Poke the potato with a fork or a knife or anything sharp really, place in the microwave for about 4min per potato
4. Cut the potato in quarters and sprinkle some more of the potato spice on the potato
5. Scoop a small piece of butter on the potato
6. Top with the yoghurt mixture, bacon bits and some grated cheese

AND! Omnomnom, enjoy :)

Chicken and Butternut Pie

1.1kg Butternut, diced – 50gr per person
500gr Onions, chopped
2tsp sage
2tsp origanum
200ml Olive oil
2 Rolls, frozen Puff Pastry
2½ Cups flour
250gr butter
1 egg
1l milk
2 Chicken stock cubes.

1. Place the frozen puff pastry in hot water to defrost
2. Saute the onion in the olive oil, add the herbs
3. Add the chicken, season well. And cook for 20-30 minutes
4. Steam the butternut until it is cooked.
5. Drain all the juices from the chicken, and mix the stock cubes into the juices
6. In a separate pot, melt the butter, add the flour, mix well
7. Slowly mix in the juices from the chicken, and then the milk.
8. Add the chicken and the butternut to the sauce.
9. Roll out the puff pastry, using a rolling pin
10. Place the chicken mixture in a chaffing dish tray, and place the pastry over it, making sure the pastry goes up the sides of the dish.
11. Coat the pastry with egg and place in the oven, preheated to 180, until the pastry is golden brown.
