Recommend me a F2P game

So I'm thinking I should play a little free2play games, but there are sooo many out there. I need your guys help to recommend what I should be playing.

I'm traditionally a FPS fan, but have recently grown weary of the same thing over and over. Run shoot, run shoot, run shoot, repeat. A couple of months ago I played Torchlight II and really enjoyed that.

Originally I was never a fan of the RPG genre, but have learned to enjoy it, as it offers more than just simply running around blasting everything in sight.

I'm no gaming n00b, but I sure am no hardcore gamer either. I haven't had time to play a lot of games in the past, but think I should make some time for it.

I need something I can get into quite easily, something you can play fairly long before having to buy something. I don't want to have to invest to much time to it, but something I can pick up and play whenever I have the time for it.

I'd say your best bets are Loadout, Team Fortress 2, Warframe, War Thunder. You'll have more than enough time in each game. Warframe and War Thunder will scratch that itch you have for something different, and Loadout and TF2 just for the silly awesomeness and fun they bring.
 
I'm going to recommend a different kind of F2P game for you. It's not an RPG and it's not a FPS.

The game I recommend is: Hearthstone. It's ridiculously addictive and I can easily recommend it to anyone.

It may not look like your kind of game but give it a try and I'm sure you'll be surprised by how good it is.
 
Path of Exile is a good F2P game in the same genre as Torchlight 2 - since you enjoyed that I'd recommend checking it out (it's available on Steam).
 
If you liked Torchlight, definitely give Path of Exile a look, it's a top quality game.

I can also recommend Loadout and Warframe if you want some shooty action.

funnily enough, i installed last night, just played the intro games, but i like it already... will definitely keep playing. thanks.

And thanks to everyone else's recommendations. I think I'll give path of exile a go...

Good choice. PoE is amazing.
 
I'll toss in Hawken, Ghost Recon Phantoms, The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot & Magicka: Wizard Wars
 
Assuming you're on PC, I'd seriously go with DarthMol, Eugene and Wyzak on Path of Exile. Seriously fantastic (okay I hate the online, yet love the free! bits). Better than Diablo III in my opinion (to be fair I've not got their expansion). "We can Dance!"

Well, 2 hours and a bit into PoE, and... I'm happy to say, I love it!

Haha well according to Vixremento you have to seriously go with us on the path of exile. :) Where this leads nobody knows but it's important that you go with us. It's the road less traveled and it's not going to be easy. But should we make it we will truly have all we desire.

haha ok. so how often do you guys get together and play?

think i'm done for today 3 hours seems to be good enough.... for now. :D
