Recommendations for a decent wired gaming mouse

Hey all

So I am in the market for a wired gaming mouse. Currently, I have a cheapie wireless one which works fine but I thought I would splurge and get a proper mouse now :) Just don't want my batteries running out in the middle of a raid or anything. lol

So my budget is between R400-R500. Brand wise, just anything that all u fundies think will be reliable :)

Thanx in advance!

You've seen my mouse, ita a Verbatrim V5 Rapier got it from Computer mania, fair price and its more than decent as far as a mouse goes althrough id personally love a MS Sidewinder mouse to go with my Sidewinder keyboard.

I would say the Roccat Kova (roccat fanboy hehe)

R515 :)

lol sorry but no. Tried all of them and Steel Series are by far that best for FPS at least ;)

I only see 2 or 3 mouses in the steelseries in the price range of missm. And they look ugle haha.
So there you go missm a trow up between logitech, Razor, Rocat and Steelseries. Now you can pick because we all lover our mices and my Razor mouse have been going for 3 years now onto its 4th year and its still working perfectly and I bet most of the rest would say more or less the same.

Now it all comes down to your taste in the style.

Have owned two Logitech G5's which were my wine mice for 2 years and used a razor mouse for several months.
Steel Series are realistically out of your price range as they are not great value for money. They are more the best of the best but at a cost. The ones you want (iKari and Xai) cost twice as much as a G5 (Original G5 pricing at least which was R500) and are in no way twice as good.

I would recommend the Razer Mamba because it can be wireless or wired - but the price on it is kinda heavy so a recommendation is not justified. Great mouse though.

Buy the mouse that suits you best. It doesn't help that other people punt their specific mouse. Yes, look at certain brands, but you need to decide which one suits your hand, your style, comfort etc. Determine your budget, try them all out and then pick the one you like. It really doesn't help that I love my Logitech G5, but you wouldn't because it might be too big or heavy or whatever.

I went from a Logitech G5 to a Coolermaster Sentinel storm and have not been sorry yet.I have been using this mouse for 3 months and its the best one I have ever used.I use it with a Razor destructor mat and its absolutely brilliant.

Cheers
