Square Enix has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be coming to PC on January 28.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was released in November for Xbox One and 360, but we knew that it would be coming to PC in "early 2016." It should also be coming out for PS4 in "Holiday 2016," but we don't have a firm release date for that yet.

“The PC release of Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the positive momentum from our highly successful partnership and collaboration with Microsoft for the launch on Xbox One and Xbox 360,” said Scot Amos, co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics in a statement.

The PC version of the game will be available as a digital download via Steam, the Windows 10 store, Amazon, the Square Enix e-store, and other major retailers, both in-store and online. The standard edition will cost $60, while the Digital Deluxe edition costs $90 and comes with the Season Pass.

If you want the $150 Collector's Edition, you'll have to go to the Square Enix e-store, where you'll find the Digital Deluxe version game bundled in with a 12-inch Lara Croft statue, replicas of her journal and jade necklace, and a steel case.

In IGN's review of Rise of the Tomb Raider, we said that it "takes its predecessor's winning formula and improves on it in every way."

I'm about 3/4 way through the game on console. Everyone, please, this is very important and very urgent: THIS IS THE FIRST GAME YOU MUST BUY IN 2016. It's incredible. Tremendous. Fantastic. Gorgeous. Gripping. Sexy.

I loved the previous one and can't wait for Uncharted 4, which might be my first PS4 game on my... Ah screw it, I probably won't end up playing on my PS4.

The only thing that worries me is my screen size, I'm not sure my 27" can do it justice. Contemplating getting on XB1 just to play it on the 46" and marvel at the beauty of it. That's one thing I can say about the game, it is... Stunning!

Yes, stunning is the word. It definitely changed my mind and became my GoTY for 2015. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and I've never seen lighting done so well in a game. I'd also probably guess that the game would be best if played with a controller.

Yeah, and finished it. I enjoyed every moment with the game, but then again I'm also a TR fan so any opinions from me will be biased.

I would play it all over again and try to get 100% completion

How does it compare to the previous one? Was one of my favourite games.

I'd like to give my comments on this:

Compared to the previous version, not too much has changed. You'll get the distinct feeling that the formula is much of the same of the previous title, but the changes made are all very welcomed. There are a lot less QTE's than the previous title, and there are many more tombs to explore as well. Also, the tombs are much more lore friendly and lore rich. The "central hub" areas where focus is more set on resource gathering varies wildly from one another, and you never feel like grinding for anything at all. The story is also much better written than previously IMO

awesome, I was hoping for this at least. Incremental improvements on a game that was amazing is good enough for me.
