Remote Desktop to Windows Server from Ipad?

Does any one know of a really good app that I can use to remote desktop to windows server (2003/2008)? I am looking for something similar like the normal windows remote desktop where you input the IP or server name and connect.

Use Remote Desktop Lite, Free on the App store. You can save connections in the app with user credentials etc, so you can save a few in there for quick access. Works like a charm.

Another Option is using SplashTop Remote Desktop.

The only problem with this one, its not free and it requires a small Client Application to be running.

But I am accessing my Desktop at home while on the road... :)

Other one to look out for which is free : 2X Client

Works VERY well for me, no additional apps to be installed on your servers. Just create the RDP session on the iPad and go.

Agreed with Nimatek, we use 2x Client very good

Obviously though you would need an external ip for the server to connect to unless your ipad is connected to a wireless network within your network.

Let me put it this way... I am sitting in a training session in Nelspruit, no wifi, and I need to remote desktop to our Windows 2008 server in Joburg with a static IP address...

So I have this:
servername.co.za (0.0.0.0)
Username: Jack Sparrow
Password: *******

Is your Windows server and computer on same network or LAN? If so, then you can use Microsoft default inbuilt RDC Tool, wherein, you enter servers IP address and get remotely connected. If both computers are on different networks, I recommend either deploying on premise remote support appliance such as RHUB or Bomgar appliances or use tools such as logmeinrescue, gosupportnow, GoToMyPC etc.
