I'm lucky that I listen to Trance because there are a wealth of options available to me for listening to my genre of choice; SoundCloud, hearthis.at, di.fm, ah.fm and iTunes are just some of the options I have available to me. What's great about these options is they are all free, but what's even better is some of the artists allow me to download their podcasts in 320k with some even offering the totally crazy option of lossless WAV! While I purchase individual tracks I really like in lossless FLAC format from junodownload I'm okay with just 320k MP3 for my podcasts.
Speaking of individual tracks I suppose that is the one downside of not having access to something like Spotify which the article mentions because when it comes to individual tracks on SoundCloud they're usually just previews of tracks and not the full thing. But then again trance is best listened to in a mix rather than one track on its own anyway, so that downside doesn't really bother me.
What does bother me, and this is more on the TV Show / movies front is that even if I wanted to stick to the legal route and try and pay for legal options I'd have to get multiple services to ensure I could watch everything I am interested in. That's assuming said option isn't geo-restricted or the following happens:

Having to pay a lot to get everything just so I can watch the few things I am interested in is the reason why I won't pay for DSTv. It's ridiculously expensive and I am paying for superfluous content that I am simply not interested in. Worse still is the premium price one has to pay for DSTv and yet still be bombarded with ads throughout whatever you are watching.
Just give me a cheap, legal, ad free, Ã la carte option and I would happily sign up. Until then this
