Researchers can predict gaming skill using science

Back on topic. A little criticism.

55 to 68% Is not considered significant, it's considered damn near random. 70, 80, 90% accuracy is significant.

Other than that, being good at "games" is a very broad description. There are many different types of games. I'm great at CoD, but I suck dino bolls at C&C. Two completely different skill sets and even regions of the brain that get used. RTS games require strategy and logic, while FPSs need high reflexes.

Uni people are bored these days aren't they?

Brain scans prove nothing other then that you have a brain. Also makes for good pic's. I can be liking to have brain in black spot on paper.

End garbling.

However, it seems clear that by analysing this portion of the brain, scientists can identify individuals who may be predisposed to learning games easily, and excelling at them, while others will not have as good reflexes, motor skills and attention shifting ability.

Ooor, you can just have them play the game and see what happens instead of wasting money for experiments just to say "Oh some people might have better relfexes than other.". Wtf? Is it just me or is this pretty pointless?
