So Resident Evil's official Facebook page just uploaded the following trailer:

This game must hold some kind of record for most re-releases ever :p

Resident Evil 4: Ultimate HD Edition, a revamped version of the classic action-horror, is heading to PC on February 28, Capcom has announced.

Available as a digital release worldwide and as a physical release across Europe, Capcom promises that the Ultimate HD Edition will deliver the "highest visual fidelity ever with stunning HD running at a smooth 60 frames per second". It'll also feature Steam achievements and bonus content, including the Separate Ways epilogue.

The game will be available for €19.99 across Europe, although a UK price has yet to be announced.

Resident Evil 4 has released on PC before, of course, with Ubisoft picking up the rights to Sourcenext's poor PC port in 2007. The Ultimate HD Edition is not expected to be related to Sourcenext's version.

A pre-order campaign for the game is due to go live on Steam later today, offering a digital soundtrack and digital artbook to pre-order customers.

The Wii edition is the definitive edition for this game! Played and finished it on the wii... it's hard to use any other control layout now.

Cool will get this, was one of the best games on the ps2 and best Resident Evil in my opinion.Interested in what graphic improvements there will be.

Judging from the trailer only HD textures and that it is gonna run at 60fps. But seriously let's look at all the versions they've released:

Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube)
Resident Evil 4 (PS2 with additional scenario)
Resident Evil 4 (PC with all previous content)
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (Wii)
Resident Evil 4 HD (PS3/Xbox 360)
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition (PC)

Sad to say I will probably pick this up as I haven't played it since the PS2 days so it would be nice to revisit it in HD, but really this is getting ridiculous.

if you already have it on the wii or gamecube then u really dont need this one, it looks like its going to be a lazy port, they havent even bothered to update any of the characters, foilage, vehicles in any way, by the looks of it, it seems like just a resolution bump and some higher detail textures here and there

Remaking the game with just better textures will be boring to play,as you already played it.. No fun..
