Review: Toshiba Qosmio X300

Its actually pretty damn good...Mmmmmm My bro in law has a kick ass gaming laptop and I must say I envy him when we go to lan's, cause all he takes is his laptop and a external hard drive.

Excellent review. I fully agree with it. The red flame design is a bit "flashy" for my liking, but it does give the laptop something unique.

My brother in law just bought one of these, and I must say, I am impressed. The sound is superb for a laptop! I tested it against my Sony Vaio AR630 with the same tracks and it was like comparing a Boeing 747 to a biplane. Embarrassed, I packed my laptop into its bag and stopped trying to compete.

Haven't yet had the chance to try out the games on it, but knowing how well it performs, I'll be installing CoD4 tonight for some quick LAN's at my house. :D

Overall it is a good package and a good deal, I would consider buying one if the look was a bit more conservative and if only they could make it a little thinner.

looking good and overpriced...

Overprised?? Dude, you have to be kidding me right? R20,000 for a laptop of those specs... actually one hell of a deal if you're in the market for this kind of laptop.

Look around at some similar spec laptops.

Not even in the same league and they're just R1000 or so less. Not to even bring up some of the HP laptops with a 2.4 Core 2 Duo processor in them... good like trying to get one for under R26,000, and the even newer ones are over R30,000.

Not bad. I reckon the specs on this is close to my current laptop. Which I bought more than 2 years ago.
So yes, these days it is an entry-level spec.

*Shrugs, your right, but thats only if you compare SA stuff.
The stuff overseas is much cheaper and around similar specs...
It just gets cheaper there then in SA...

And I wouldn't go for a hp laptop :(
