Rigs for the online shop..What do you guys think?

Yea keen on seeing some custom options. rigs look pretty good and decently priced. Would also be nice to get a couple different brand options, I would want to replace the asrock with a asus rog board, not that asrock is bad i just like the rog boards.

Oh and is there a website yet to check out some of the stuff?

There will be Pre overclocked rigs, and the Fatality range will come with custom watercooling, custom cut panels, custom powder coating. The pc's will be divided into 5 groups. Each group targeting a different section of the market.


Enthusiast Gaming Rigs
Fatality Gaming Rigs
Themed Gaming Rigs
Custom office Rigs
Video editing + Encoding Rigs

Pretty much all the rigs will have the custom options available, and customers are more than welcome to "Build their own rigs" To their specs.

Each Range of rigs will have a set price range. Then custom options can be added. For instance if someone buys a Darkness rig, they'll pay R9000, if they then want custom options added, Custom cut panel with uv sleeving, They'll be looking in the region of R11 000 for Darkness + Custom options.

There is really no limit to what I can do, it really depends on how much customers want to spend.

There will also be a range of closed loop water coolers and air coolers available, Starting at a
Antec Khuler 620 and going up to Corsair H100
Hyper 212 Evo and going up to Noctua NH-D14


A lot of people don't really know what they want, so they'll give me a budget of lets say R15 000 and tell me its for their 15 year old son, and he is into car racing/anime or whatever the case may be, so I'll select a high end rig and do a themed rig for him, going with top of the range products and also giving the rig a custom theme and custom built feel.

All the major brands will be available to the customers
Website is still under construction, just figuring a couple of things out.

Yip that's what I'll be doing mate. I know of "shops" that overclock" but they don't ever test for stability, they just use options that work on all the setups. I won't be doing that.
If a client wants a i7 2600k @ 5Ghz I will source a chip and clock it and have it stable before it leaves my place.

Awesome news. Then finally what's your thoughts on upgrade combos, like ram + cpu + mb ?

Well right now I would basically recommend the i5 2500K, ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3, Patriot G2 2x4GB DDRIII 1600.
But again it really depends on what the client wants. The above mentioned combo will set you back around R4400.
The cpu is highly overclockable, the motherboard is fantastic for overclocking it also offers PCIE 3.0 as Standard, Ram wise I Personally love the Patriot G2 DDRIII 1600 kits as they are built to last and are pretty well priced.

If that's a bit rich, and a guy says he doesn't need the overclocking and he needs it to be as cheap as possible. I would recommend the i5 2400, Asus p8h61-m lx, Kingston DDRIII 1333 2x4GB kit. That would cost in the region of R3400.

Mmmm What I am finding annoying at the moment, are guys that ask for advice, chat to me for months and then end up going to another shop, pay a lot more than I quoted and then when I call them they say ah something came up and they needed it then and crap..lol

I really don't mind giving advice, but seriously if someone spends R200 worth of calls on a single client and he then decides to go buy from another shop for more...Grrr...grinds my bones...anyway I am just venting lol xD

This always gets me too and family are especially guilty on this.

There are so many shops out there and people don't realise that the price of the item involves all your experience and expertise. I am certainly not regretting being out of the retail industry.

Been working on a pretty epic rig for a client, that decided midway through the build he wasn't keen anymore...
From now on, I will not start work on a rig unless its paid for 100%

At the moment I have had great experience with Internet Express, their service is great.
Price wise, I can't really say, it depends on how much the rig weighs and where it'll be shipped to.

Another issue popped up today. Guys that are interested in buying the rig in parts and only the parts they need, I really don't want to do business like that. As it stands I am only interested in selling fully built rigs. As soon as that is up and running and going strong I might look into selling parts.

I would gladly help you out bud. The only thing is I'll be priced pretty much the same as the cheap online shops, unfortunately suppliers don't like dropping prices to much, otherwise other buyers would want the same deal, been chatting to suppliers for awhile now. Everyone in SA pretty much pays the exact same price xD.
