RIP Nelson mandela

What you fail to grasp is that Mandela, while still very influential till the end, has not been running the country for a while and he would most likely also admit that the country is not where it should be.

I think he started not giving a tos long ago. I mean what do you expect from a man in his late 70s, he didn't have the energy and probably lost the interest long ago. At that age people sit at home and take care of petty stuff, not having the burden of running a government on their backs. Politics and other nonsense fly out of the window, and family comes first.
