Leonard Nimoy, the actor best known for playing Mr. Spock in the ubiquitous Star Trek series, passed away today at the age of 83.
The New York Times has a full obituary for Nimoy, who was taken to the hospital earlier this week after suffering chest pains, and died this morning from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Ah man...... This is really sad news.

Sometimes it feels like these guys will live forever.

RIP :(

RIP

i saw the news earlier this week that he had been going in and out of hospital because of chest pains, and i wondered if this was his last.

time to dust off the moves and watch for old times sake.

I'd start with "Three Men and a Baby" before digging into Star Trek...

Just saw this on reddit. He lived long, and prospered.
Really sad that he couldn't finish the new Star Trek trilogy.

When I heard the news that he was having health problems earlier in the week, I had a feeling that he was about to be beamed up for his final adventure. RIP.

Whose going to play his role in Fringe when they eventually make the movie. :(

He said it best himself: “I think it's my adventure, my trip, my journey, and I guess my attitude is, let the chips fall where they may.” ― Leonard Nimoy

its weird, I don't usually give a crap when famous People die, but i'm actually sad about him passing on. 83 ,I did not realise he was that old already, time flies.

Damn, this guy...easily one of my most favorite actors ever and most influential in my love for Star Trek. I mean, he was so unique, from his facial expression to his way of speaking. (Though, I am still trying to forget that Ballad of Bilbo Baggins...)

His voice, its a highlight to hear his voice, from Skyrim to Transformers to Fringe, lol, heck even The Big Bang Theory, it just stays in my mind. (i've got a great brain for remembering trivial stuff, other more important stuff, not so much.)

True legend...

I literally finished watching the original Star Trek series last week... which worries me, I'm watching Macgyver atm...
(yeah, yeah, I am just a little tired of current series atm, going old skool. Enjoying very much, gotta say though, when I first started watching Star Trek, it was a bit cringe worthy, but you get used to and the series gets much better.)

LLAP...
