Rise in cars damaged by potholes

There has been a rise in the number of vehicles damaged by potholes, the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) said on Thursday.

"There had been more reports in the last two weeks about vehicles that were damaged by potholes," spokeswoman Bertha Peters-Scheepers said.

This was caused by the heavy rain and flooding in the area.

Peters-Scheepers said repairs to roads had started as reports came through.
