Risen 2: Dark Waters gets a launch trailer

Never played the first Risen. And now, the second...

IMHO... The second one (from what I've witnessed so far ...

Environments look beautiful and what have you, but ...

The animation looks stiff and sluggish.
Anyone who's seen The Witcher 2's animation will know ...
Fighting or rather, combat just doesn't appear to be appealing. It's as if it lacks something .. I don't know .. More movement maybe.

I'm not trying to criticize this game ... Just giving my opinion on what I've seen. Could be a great game for all I know. ;)

Just try Risen 1, it is pretty cheap now. It is a very different type of rpg compared to KOA and Dragon Age etc. It's more of a old school not going to hold your hand type of game. Very rewarding and punishing when you really get into it. Check out reviews of Risen and Gothic (Gothic 1 - 3 esp 1 - 2 are games that made Piranha Bytes notorious in this rpg genre in Europe).
I myself am very keen for this and will be picking it up as a bday gift from my significant other and myself to me.
 
I don't get it, why are we only getting it so late into the month if it's out on Steam already?

It is African timing lol. I thought you already had it on steam and was going to buy the boxed version because you wanted to show PB some love? :)

Im passing on this, watched the review on Gametrailers.com and it just didn't do it for me. Especially when there are a whole crap load of other RPGs to play that look better.

One of my friends gave me a CD-key, but it's russian so I can't play it. I need to sort out with Steam whether they can change mine to the english locale or whether they can remove it from my account so I can buy the correct version first. :(
