Yeah I don't know about this the first movie was so iconic but the sequels lacked something,hollywood is scraping the barrel with this idea.

I think it has the potential to be better or at least more intriguing without Neo. The first movie at least had great tension because Neo wasn't all powerful then but the next two didn't really convey that tension. Some of the Animatrix short films had some interesting ideas so there's still a lot of potential in the IP. I'm being hopeful of course.

Like others said, the first movie was the great one, I only can remember the general plot of the other two.

I feel bad for our kids who will probably get remakes/reboots of films that only released 2 years ago. The time span between the reboots and the originals are quickly decreasing. I guess if it's a prequel trilogy it could be interesting.
