I'm not too keen on this idea. Half life is about a focused semi linear experience. The moment you go open world you lose a lot of that thrilling set piece moments.

Flawed argument is flawed.

WoW & D3 Made by THE SAME Company so cross over and idea overlap was to be expected. HL3 (if it even exists) is made by Valve.

I hope it doesn't go open world because I often find it distracts from the storyline. And half life has a great story.
Hell I've played skyrim for over 100 hours now and I have no clue what the plot is!
